Yeah same. D:

Ooh, lucky! I want to read Bloodlines, myself. :) But definitely Rose and Dimitri were meant for each other. I couldn't see them not together, which is why book 3 and 4 were so painful for me, lol

Yeah:( the poor guy i mean he always trying to do what was best for rose!

Im a fan of Dimitri to even if he ticked me off at times! I want to read Bloodlines so bad.

(I still love Dimitri and Rose together)
((<3Adrian & Sydney<3))

You can say that she did it for Lisaa and other etc. but Lissa never wanted to be queen. Rose put her on the throne. Why? because she wanted it.
She used Adrian as a nictoine patch when she couldn't get Dimitri smokes. She admitted it and still she used him for him money. True, there were some feelings between them but those vanished the moment Dimitri returned.
She used Adrian as a safety blanket. Then she screwed Jill over. A month after Rose plucked her from her normal little life, she gets stabbed to death and Adrian has to revive her and is now spirit bound to her.
Rose does all this stuff without any thought for anyone else. She fought the world in order to clear her name and get Lissa on the throne and now things in the VA universe are worse than ever. There is civil war, Lissa and Jill are targets. Adrian, Eddie, Jill and Sydney have been exiled to California but Rose and Dimitri are togther so it makes everything okay...
Rose has screwed over ever one else in the story.
That's why I like Sydney alot more.

I did love Dimitri and Rose but i got so sick of their relationship. It was the most predictable romance since Edward and Bella. So i hated it. I hated what they did too Adrian. I don't care if Adrian should have seen it coming, it makes no excuse for what they did too him.
So now that i think about it Rose and Dimitri deserve each other. I actually dislike Rose now. Plus Dimitri so serious and boring then sleeping with Rose when she's with someone else pissed me off even more.
I know Adrian is no saint but i love him. He is so much more fun and outgoing. He's my ideal boyfriend. Except for the smoking and drinking of course, but i understand that.

@ Summer Ellen total agree!!! rose is even more impulsive than me(which is saying something!)!! She needs someone with Dimitri's calm head.

I think Richelle wouldn't have done it if she didn't plan on Bloodlines. She needs a plot line for a spin-off, after all!! :P I too, predicted that we were going to get a sad ending (rose choosing Adrian and Dimitri going, well, I don't know, ballistic?) but as soon as I found out about the spin off, understood that we are going to get a happy ending.

Adrian is a victim. noun - a person who is deceived or cheated, as by his or her own emotions or ignorance, by the dishonesty of others, or by some impersonal agency:
Rose is something much worse. She's a slave to her own heart. Everything she does is because she wants it. She can't look past it and therefore can't act selflessly. Bringing Dimitri back, getting Lissa on the throne, all of it was because she wanted it, not because it was for the greater good. She practically ruined Jill's life and actually got her killed, why? Because she wanted Lissa to be queen.
Adrian was like a nicotine patch when she couldn't get hold of cigarettes (Dimitri). Rose's actions may appear selfless but she is in fact incredible self-centered. If you look more closely at her through process, you see that she massivily arrogant and completely devoid of the possible consequenses to her actions.

Wow couldn't agree more.
Your description of Rose is spot on.

Maybe it's a guardian thing. Most of the guardians are idiots. Seriously behind the times. I'm surprised they live as long as they do. Only about half of them carry guns, none of them wear kevlar, the near/far guard thing hasn't been used in about 200 years and they never check their vehicles for explosives.
It really wouldnt be difficult to assassinate Lissa if they put some thought into it. A sniper could probably pick her off or you could just posion her since they never check the food/drink. Car bomb would be easy or just a group of guys with uzi's suddenly jumping out and gunning her guards down in a heartbeat. None of them wear body armor so no problem there. Soldiers run through gun fire with 80 pounds of gear and yet they can't even give their Guardians a bullet proof vest? They must be trying to cut back on their defense budget.
If three teenagers can break into their most maximum security prison, then it's pretty obvious that they are doing something wrong.
Sorry, I don't mean to rant. But throughout the VA books, we're told that the Guardians are the best of the best and yet it's like they invite death on themselves. 20 Guardians Vs. 20 Marines, who do you think would win? The guys with the pointy stakes or the dudes that can fire off 800 rounds a minute?

And to your ranting - yeah, modern technology ruins all the fun - what's the point of learning martial arts if one bullet would be enough? I think R. Mead was trying to create story in a modern world, but tried to pretend there are no guns or maybe we're just to assume that guardians have metal/rocket/etc detectors and are taking precautions against it? And don't forget the magic and ward thingy. Whatever the case, IMO the world R. Mead created in VA is very believable and logical for the most part, but still it's a fiction you have to remember that. Tell me at least one paranormal book that's perfect? So what if that world has some holes in it? You don't go around saying uuu, there's no such things as vampires. It's still better and more solid fantasy world than most. Otherwise it wouldn't have such huge fan base...

And to your ranting - yeah, modern technology ruins all the fun - what's the point..."
Very true. I was only thinking about it because now Adrian, Jill, Eddie and Sydney (well, maybe not Sydney) are now sort of stuck in the human world and it just got me thinking. I'm definately still a fan of VA and Bloodlines and still waiting eagerly for Golden Lily. :)

I cried! Wet the pillow and faced a very awkward 'interrogation morning" with mom! :P

As did I, till I looked at it from the other way around. I think that Adrian is basically a good person and he didn't deserve to finish up being punished... by ending up with someone like Rose.
There's a special spot in my heart for Dimitri too. "I am honourable. I do the right thing. I couldn't possibly steal a woman off a good man for whom I have great respe... oooh! Boobies!"
I'm one of those who are happy that Rose and Dimitri ended up together. Not because they deserve happiness, but because they thoroughly deserve each other.

For all of the Rose+Dimitri fans in this thread, I wonder how many of you would wish a happily-ever-after on the main character if it was a bloke who went around stringing along and dumping nice girls, just to fill in his down-time when he couldn't be with the girl who he really wanted.

Cant say i felt bad with what happened when Dimitri stepped back into the picture. All the signs were there. He just choose to ignore them.

I dont want Adrian to end up with Sydney. :(((
