Gus | 2 comments Novel that begins in the medieval time period, with a young boy and girl both living at a convent, where they are each expected to enter their vocation. The book follows their souls as they are reborn again and again, always coming close to one another, but never getting it quite right.

Nadine | 55 comments Sorry, no idea which book it might be, but it sounds pretty good, I hope someone can help you. I would like to have a closer look at the book as well as soon as you/we have the title/author. Sounds like somethink I could enjoy.

Gerd | 221 comments There's a short story with the theme of a pair of lovers that in each incarnation is parted before they can tie the knot because the boy has to head off for war.

Must have appeared in Science Fiction Age
(I may look up the story title and author later)

Ashley | 13 comments I'm not sure if I'm a bit off but My Name Is Memory by Ann Brashares sounds quite similar?

edit- sorry I'm really not thinking right today, the book I'm talking about is only a couple of years old.

Rapidio | 7 comments Only book I can recall that had characters reincarnated together through history is a little bit off the beaten path, being an alternative history, "Years of Rice And Salt". One of the incarnations is as a Tiger, go figure. The author is Kim Stanley Robinson.

Melissa I have a book called The Nonesuch Lure. It takes place in England and America in 4 different time periods. It is by Mary Luke and the couple are reincarnated till they defeat the evil HUrst.

Jessica (jessdaygeorge) | 191 comments Katherine Kerr's Daggerspell is about several souls that keep getting reincarnated until they can get it right. They aren't in a convent, though. The woman is the daughter of a mercenary, and the man is the daughter of a lord (in the main storyline). One of the "souls" is actually immortal, he stayed alive in his original body to try and fix the mess he made back in the day.
