Do you like the couples that ended up with each other or do you believe there was better pairings?

While I don't mind the pairings, they were very predictable and cliche (but of course!) and I think Harry and Luna would have been nice. I wish Draco was with one of the more main characters like Luna or Hermione. Loved loved loved the book forever and always. :)

I would have preferred a Ginny/Neville pairing. I never really *believed* the Harry/Ginny romance -- it seemed like puppy love to me. I always thought that Harry & Hermione had the strong friendship, trust, and understanding of one another to form a good relationship, and was disappointed when Rowling paired Hermione with Ron (going for "opposites attract," I guess?) I think Ron would have made a fine bachelor.

Yes I totally got the fact that everyone that got together did and was really happy with the pairings. However, like a lot of people, I would have loved to have seen Neville and Luna get together!

I'd love to see Neville and Luna together! They'd be great together and they'd work really well.
But J.K herself said she wouldn't have put them together, and that she would rather consider Luna and Dean.
Ive always read and seen the original couples, so I can't really imagine anything being changed!

I ADORE Harry/Ginny, Hermione/Ron is sweet, but I kind of wanted Neville and Luna to end up together. I suppose I can see why they didn't, though. Luna's probably got a bit of wanderlust, while Neville settles down and becomes Herbology professor! I tend to think maybe they dated at one point but broke up when they realized it wouldn't work. :) So, yeah, in all I like the couples that ended up.

I honestly don't understand Hermione/Harry. It's incest. Same with Ginny/Neville. As for Harry/Luna....no. She's too out there for him. Harry needs someone who's grounded, who understands him, who's had brushes with Voldemort, who can fight alongside him (not that the others can't), and who can face his temper and put him in his place with no qualms and confidently. Luna is simply too airy. I think her and Harry are an adorable brother/sister, best friend-ish pair, though. :) As for Cho (who's name I am highly surprised has not come up more in this discussion), she's just not right for him.

Totally agree with Ari and Soazig! I really can't imagine Luna/Harry or Harry/Hermione. Especially Harry and Hermione have a more brother/sister relation. Besides I adore Ron/Hermione :)

I think Ron would've made a good bachelor, too. Personally, I would've been happy to see Luna end up with any of the characters, as long as she was happy with whomever she ended up with, but I would have liked her to end up with Harry.
As for Ginny and Harry, I also thought that was kind of cliche. I could see it coming from The Chamber of Secrets. It did seem like puppy love, especially on Ginny's end.

hmm... good question. I think I have to say I would love Harry and Luna. Also, Harry and Hermione would be cute, but I still think Ron and Hermione is the best. I hate Ginny and Harry. I get really annoyed when people think Hermione and Draco would have been a good couple. No! Just no. When I was reading the books I kind of thought about Neville and Luna but I really like how she didn't end up with any of the main characters. I really do like Ginny and Harry. I know hardly anyone else does but I just think they really loved each other. Although I kind of wish only two of Harry/Hermione/Ron/Ginny got together because it is kind of more realistic but I like Hermione and Ron so I don't know. Then I guess that was a really pointless comment!
