How large is your TBR list? Does it have a mind of its own?

Yes, it is... Amazon freebies and ARC copies of books are just too easy to come by... And I have poor impulse control. :)

This is my next job to do. I don't own anywhere near that amount though.

surprisingly in my Goodreads TBR list I only have 76, I thought I had way more, it certainly feels like more. In my kindle app and my iBooks app I have no idea how many are! I must count and organise them soon, I definitely download more books to read than I actually read lol
And on my book shelf at home I have a few maybe 5? novels, although my sister and I decided to go out and buy 50 Goosebumps books last weekend that we are going to share and read and reminisce about, so now those have been added to my shelf of TBR at home.

The most time consuming part was working out if I'd purchased them or not... thankfully Amazon's content control function is pretty decent :P

403 and that's not even counting some of the books I owned but haven't added to my Goodreads or books I've just written the title/author down for to look into later (much later haha) but didn't add to my TBR shelf on this site at this stage until I've whittled it done a bit.

Nope, because if it really was heaven, it's constantly refresh with new books. A never ending TBR list and infinite time to read! Now that truly is heaven!

Ever since this thread was created I don't feel my TBR pile has gotten any smaller...But at the same time it hasn't grown too badly either. I will say my kindle has certainly helped with not culling the physical book collection though. Still my main unread novels sit on only one shelf though...My non fiction however is a different kettle of fish!! lol

I forgot to count the 44 other books I got from the author or publisher. :(

Happily, since I'm reading book #56 for 2015 I am technically 6 books under where my TBR was this time last year!

I'm counting that as a win! :D

I've managed to read 3 books from my to-read shelf, only to have that shelf somehow increase by nearly 20 books. I have a short-list-to-read shelf, which means books I've already bought or purchased in real life or on kindle.

I do find myself starting to buy more books on ebook format rather than hard-print, simply cos I can keep the book once read, without having to find room for another bookcase.

My TBR just shot to 1013 today after our get together - so I just deleted 37 from my wish list - 976 now! Still way too high but with the vast majority of that being owned..not much I can do except READ THEM!!! LOL
