Is it safe now to start editing the data?

I realized that a lot of the (correct) data I've entered to rescue my books has been overwritten or deleted by the imports. Is it safe to start editing my books now or will the data be in danger to be overwritten again? Just so I know, I'll not be doing the work thrice...
