Book Covers and author names Missing from my Books

Recently I noticed some of the book covers and author names have gone missing from books I've reviewed and added to my books. Can anyone tell me why this could happen? It's so time consuming to go and add them all again. It' just says: Unknown book. Unknown author and I know I added them. Also the reviews are still there, but now I have to figure out what books they are.

All of the book data that was obtained from commercial sites has been removed from the records. So, unfortunately, you will have to add them all again.

I didn't receive any email that I remember. Maybe it was with all the updates for Goodreads and I missed it.That's so time consuming to add all those covers again. Oh, well, like everyone else, I'll have to fit them in bit by bit. Thanks Jannette, I just read the other posts too.
I've posted for more instruction about how to recover books with no title and author. I'm still waiting for a reply. I have no idea how to rescue those books, unless you have a save file of your data, and can cross-reference with it.
I think the email should be in your GR inbox; they were supposed to have sent a message to all GR authors, too.
And, images are being re-loaded from an acceptable source right now, so they might come back. If you need help, just post. Sorry that I can't tell you more about it.

My cover for When Hearts Collide has gone missing. How do I get it back and stop it from disappearing again. I only found out as someone emailed me.
My husband has a problem with blank records because he listened to librivox books and reviewed them as kindles.What I'm doing is waiting a few days for the imports and the more aggressive volunteer librarians to clean up whatever records they can do that quickly.
Then I'm going to help him go into his My Books and click on the blank cover image for any remaining mystery books. That leads to the book's page. Often in the description and/ or the reviews, there's the data about the title and author, voila. Then, since we're librarians, we can create librivox editions for those, and of course we can correct any blank records for ordinary books, too.

Goodreads was able to keep the ASIN numbers of the Kindle Editions on record. If you look the books up on Amazon by this number, you'll be able to figure out what book it is. You can then go back to your kindle and use the information from your ebook copy to update the record.
Well, I'm a Goodreads author too, and I never got an email about the missing data/cover for my books.This:

is my (Katharina Gerlach) kindle eBook "Urchin King" (when I click on "rescue this book", it says it's already been rescued but title, author, and cover are still all wrong).
The other one:

is called "Campaigner Challenges 2011" and was authored by me (Katharina Gerlach) and Rachael Harrie. It also says it has been rescued showing the wrong data and missing the cover.

Add me to the list of authors who never received an email. I managed to get my book in need of rescue fixed, but it took me a while to figure out what, exactly, was going on.
Well, I'm afraid I just don'e have the time at the moment to search for somewhere to download all the missing book covers from my book reviews. There's too many missing. I wish had the time, but I can't do it for a week or two.I checked my emails and messages, but couldn't find anything informing me about the missing covers, but I know this is not Goodreads fault. It's just one of those things we have to deal with.
Book covers are slowly coming back; I just noticed 4 of my 83 books now have covers. And, other people are requesting assistance, or scanning their own covers, so maybe by next week you will be pleasantly surprised. *I hope*

Thanks Jeanette and Lucia, I'll do what I can too. I bet you have things you could be doing instead of this too. It's sad that this happened to Goodreads as it's so supportive to authors and readers and is such a great place for us all to meet.I'm so overcommitted at the moment, I wish I could just help to find those covers myself.
I'm sorry for the mess. Amazon really threw a spanner into things. The librarians did yeoman service the last half of January as they scrambled to save books, but obviously there's a lot yet to do.

Hope I'm in the right place. Can an image mix up be corrected please? The title Only Serious About You volume 2 (9781569702321) has the cover for Private Teacher; this is the correct image for OSAY v. 2, http://www.junemanga.com/books/755/Thanks in advance. :)
