Good Job!! :D

I liked this book and the series is becoming very interesting with the new developments.
I disliked a bit the heroine, she played hot and cold at the beginning and her reasons were a bit erratic.

I've changed my Favorite Supe book to

Review:
This book dragged a bit. It really seemed like nothing much happened, sort like a filler book.
What I enjoyed:
* Keira and her family.
* Adam's surprise info.
* No love triangle.
* Finally getting some answers from Gigi.
What could have been better:
* Not much action.
* Too many characters.
* No real interest in the homeless plot line.

Review:
This time around there was too much teenage angst as Meghan finds herself embroiled in another quest to save the Fae. I still love Grimalkin as he has his own agenda and rules (like most cats) and Leananside was an interesting new twist. I hate love triangles (and teenage ones are the very worst). Meghan seemed too passive overall this time.

Favorite Supe Shelf 4/21/12 ★★★
This was a funny almost in a watching a train wreck way. The plot was silly the characters caricatured and yet I enjoyed it.
Our h is Justine, an immortal Guardian of the Goblet of Eternal Youth, her friend Theresa is named her successor, so gets to drink from said Goblet which turns her into a dragon who can't shift back, and they live in NY.
Our H is Derek La Valle, a Pretzel King (he invented no carb pretzels) and member of a Cursed family. At the age of 31 all male La Valle's die in horrible and mysterious circumstances.
Justine's mother was the previous Guardian and died protecting the Goblet, whose name is Mona, from Satan. Satan is a fabulous character and really made this book.
I'll be reading the next one in the series when I need a laugh.

I enjoyed this one, but for some reason couldn't get into the second at all.

I'm leaning towards

Well this was the 4th time we've run it. And it gets more popular every time. So we'll probably run it at least 3 times per yr and maybe 4, depending on how long the games last.

Sorry to hear that Diane, I think I'll leave it a while before I try the next one, I've already got all 4.

2011 Shelf 24/4/12 ★★★★
I think this one was better than the first one, but it could be that I was more used to the world that Kevin created.
It takes place 3 weeks following Hounded and all the Gods & Goddesses are nervous following Atticus's assassination of Aenghus Óg and Bres. All the supe folk want someone killed and for him to leave them alone. Plus nearly everyone wants Thor dead asap.
This world works on quid pro quo so Atticus calls in favors and finds himself agreeing to favors in return. This time around with the local witch population decimated, a new nasty and deadly coven move in and try to take over. Fortunately, they try to take out Atticus and don't succeed. Then he realises he has a past with them from WWII Germany, and they have to go.
There is plenty of action and folklore and even the odd Shakespeare quote to keep everyone happy and I'm looking forward to the next instalment which I'm sure will feature Thor heavily as Hammered is the next book title.

This was the best book I've read by Patricia Briggs so far, it was perfect, not one sentence was superfluous, everything fit together and moved the story and character development along, there was a big twist at the end that changed the whole game for the next books. After River Marked I didn't expect much but this book blew me away and I'm really glad now that the author is taking one year per book to come up with a gem like this. I can wait, it's worth it! :)

But it was a pleasure reading with you and increasing my tbr pile :))))
Hope you can come and join us for round 5 later in the year (prob Junish)
