You sound like a pirate. Hehe. (I may have pirates on the brain right now though. New episode of Mythbusters is doing a Pirates of the Caribbean stunt.)"

Don't worry I do too

Lizz (Beer, Books and Boos) | 1193 comments Finished my 'Favorite Supe' book Eat Prey Love (Love at Stake, #9) by Kerrelyn Sparks on 4/17/12. I gave it 5 stars. I am in love with all kinds of shifters but the ones I love the most are panthers. And this store at me a sexy werepanther. I just love this series. I haven't been reading in them in order but they are still good. Can't wait to read more of this series

Kristen (k10bentley) | 422 comments I was just checking out the other teams. There are a few that only need one more stamp and some have three rows that only need one more stamp :-(

message 358: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Kristen we are in the same position though if all do this week's book. :) nobody will win with favorite supe. But if we finish by Saturday and get our stamp and new2youauthor is called and we do that one we could get five stamps! But several groups are just waiting for new2youaithor also do it would be a race! We can do it right?

You are right though that there are several teams that just one stamp from four or five shelves. We are definitely not in that position.

message 359: by Kristen (new)

Kristen (k10bentley) | 422 comments Yup, I'm plugging away on my fav supe book.

message 360: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments I should be done tonight. :D

I just looked at our card, we are only missing three shelves and one is from this week:

PNR
Goodreads Author
Favorite Supes

I know I never picked a goodreads author book, but if we get another stamp in that row I definitely will, I am up to date in all the others.

Favorite Supes is the only shelf that will get us 4 stamps in a row although we have many three stamps in a row and both PNR and Goodreads author would get us 3 in a row. My guess is it will be won with the next shelf call and let's cross our fingers it is New2You author -- which could win it for us if we get done first!

Maybe we should all pick out a book and have it ready to go for the New2YouAuthor shelf in case it is called as that is the winner for us (assuming we get Favorite Supes done).

Kristen (k10bentley) | 422 comments Great idea! I've already got one!!

The Fave Supe is the one that will help us the most, if New2You is called on Sunday. *crossing fingers...

message 362: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments And toes -- lets cross toes too!

message 363: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments I'm almost finished with my PNR book. Finally. I'm gonna try as hard as I can to finish my Favorite Supe book by the time the new shelf is announced. Already have a New2You Author book picked out. I plan to read all day Sunday, if that shelf is called

message 364: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments I'll get stuff updated tomorrow, I think.

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments I just finished my favorite supe book 5 stars Fighting to Survive (As The World Dies A Zombie Trilogy, #2) by Rhiannon Frater on 4/17/2012

Review:
This is the Tor version and it is changed. Some scenes from the original are gone and others are more fleshed out. The result is a smoother read and a tighter story. I think this is my favorite in the trilogy. The survivors are rebuilding and moving into a better secured living space. There is tension among the survivors but developments and resolution as well. They learn there ate bandits out there who are worse than the zombies. This book does have rape but it wasn't thrown in to make the story more dark, I think the author dealt with it well. I highly recommend this trilogy.

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments So my new2youauthor book will be Gone (Gone, #1) by Michael Grant

Ladies, if either fantasy or vampires is called, I will also rush to pick/finish goodreaads author - -as that would give us 4 in several rows. :) But right now, that is the likely the only reason (unless the game goes on for weeks and it becomes strategic) that I will finish goodreads author.

message 369: by Amanda A (new)

Amanda A | 812 comments I finished my goodreads author book last Sunday.
Fever (Phoenix Rising, #1) by Joan Swan
Finished 4/15
4★

This was pretty good for a debut author. I went back and forth on whether to give it 3 or 4 stars. I'm rounding up because I think some of my issues were because I've been in a bit of a reading funk lately. Teague is an escaped convict who kidnaps Alyssa thinking she is someone else who could help him get his daughter back. Teague was convicted of a murder he didn't commit and now Alyssa wants to prove his innocence. She discovers he has special abilities as the result of a fire. I wish that the cause of Teague's abilities had been explored a little more. Other than that, I loved the action, suspense and romance and I look forward to Luke's story in the next book.

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments Sooooo..... I've got another injury to add to the group tally. (not that it was a long list before) Stepped off my bottom step this morning when I was heading to work and stepped in slightly wider than normal crack in the sidewalk. Twisted my ankle. Then I worked on it for 6 hours. It....…....hurts and is pretty fat looking. And lucky me, I have 3 classes tomorrow morning. Thank goodness all of them are on the ground floor.

I will update things after school tomorrow. I finished my PNR book yesterday. So we'll be getting that stamp. Now I'm going to focus on my Favorite Supe book with any free time I have.

Night night. :-)

Sandra | 25910 comments Hope you're feelin better tomorrow Alyssa and packed that ankle with ice or at least a pack of peas, to reduce the swelling.

message 372: by Kristen (new)

Kristen (k10bentley) | 422 comments Finished fave supe: The Thirteen by Susie Moloney .

Stars: 2
Date: 4/20/12
Review:
I was expecting an awesome Stepford Wives witch drama, but it wasn't much of that at all. There are witches and a demon, but it's more about the disappointment that family can bring and how much mothers feel like they need to be perfect. The only way to be truly perfect is to "sell your soul." There are elements of Faust and also Salem Witch hints, too.

This is one case where the cover is MUCH better than the book.

message 373: by Kristen (new)

Kristen (k10bentley) | 422 comments Alyssa,
I hope you feel better. I guess a busted ankle is a great reason to sit with your leg propped up and REAADD!! :-)

Lizz (Beer, Books and Boos) | 1193 comments That sucks Alyssa
My mom hurts her ankle about once a month cause she has bad ankles. I hope you feel better soon.

message 375: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments And they take awhile to feel better. I hurt mine on vaca this past summer. To a speedy recovery!

message 376: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments Thanks guys. I just have to work tomorrow morning and Sunday morning for a bit. Then, the plan for the rest of the weekend is to just lay around reading and catching up on some TV.

message 377: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments The shelf called is 2011. It wins it for 3 teams. Would have gotten us 4. :)
