R4: Team #11 ~ Wonderfu11y Wicked Witches
I just finished
on 2/7/2012 and I really liked it and I am going to go on with the series. The only thing that I didn't like it took a little bit to get to the plot but other then that I loved it. I gave it five stars *****.
Okay Camp Hell is soooo good! I love this series so much, but this is the best one so far. I am about 30% in.

*blush* That was an amazing team! Love ya guys! And that's right, 'Lyssa, fire + computers = very bad! I have a similar problem with coffee & keyboards....
Have an awesome captain-ship!

I have really enjoyed this series so far and was looking forward to reading Justice's story after the ending in book 2, Atlantis Awakening. In this book, Justice meets Keely, an American arachaeologist and object reader which means she can see the history of an object when she touches it. Years ago, she found a hand carved fish that has revealed visions of a blue-haired warrior to her when she touches it. When she winds up in Atlantis and sees Justice, she realizes he is the man in her visions. Justice decides he has to have her and the evolution of their relationship was fun to watch. I loved learning more about Justice and his background as a half Atlantaen and half Nereid. Throughout much of the book, his two sides are battling each other as he discovers that one of the jewels of Poseidon's Trident could heal him. The Star of Artemis is the sapphire that can heal fractured minds. With the help of Keely, they set off into the Mayan jungle to find the jewel. The adventure is fun and the romance is pretty steamy. Looking forward to reading Alexios' story in Atlantis Unmasked.

Supernatural Shelf
Date: Feb. 9
Stars: FIVE
Review: I LUUUUUOOOOOOVVVVVVVVEEEEEEDDDDD this book. OMG...demons, angels, just the cover alone was enough to make it 5 stars. This book is about Jim Heron, who has a secret background in the military??, and is working for Vin DiPietro building his house. The problem starts with Jim is electrocuted and meets some angels who give him a task to help seven people make the right choice. This book is also about Marie-Therese and her struggle to get away from her brutal ex-husband. There's a demon lover involved, and so much more. Ward builds in so many twists and turns, I didn't know if I was always reading the same book.
I finsished
by Jordan Castillo Price which is #5 in the PsyCop series.Supernatural Shelf.

5 Stars
PsyCop is one of my absolutely favorite urban fantasy series. And Camp Hell is my favorite thus far in the PsyCop series. Jordan Castillo Price has this amazing way of writing inner monologue that is completely funny, witty -- and insecure. Some authors do not do first person point of view right, but JCP gets it so right and through the main characters eyes readers learn what we need to learn. So Vic continues to see dead people, we are learning more about how strong his ability truly is. There are some really sweet surprises about Jacob. Jacob and Vic as a couple continued to grow closer -- in a very sexy but super sweet way. This book was longer than the previous ones, which was damn rewarding. I am sad I only have one more left in the series, but JCP is working on another PsyCop book so hopefully I will have more to look for. I highly recommend this series to people who enjoy gritty and dark urban fantasy books.
Ghosts is this week's shelf: http://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/g...Which is hilarious, bc my book from last week would qualify for this week. Happy picking!

The Soul Screamers series is really good, Alyssa. I have yet to start the Shifters series even though I already own most of the books.

That's good to hear! I have both in challenges this month so I was glad to see them on the shelf.
Amanda wrote: "The Soul Screamers series is really good, Alyssa. I have yet to start the Shifters series even though I already own most of the books."I'm the opposite. I've read the Shifter series. I also own all the Soul Screamers books, except If I Die and any novellas. But, now that I think about it, I have read a short story from the Soul Screamers that's in an anthology. So, I guess if we're being technical, I HAVE read something from the Soul Screamers series. Hehe.

"I probably won't choose until Tuesday as I am finishing up a book. I am equally split on The Restorer, The Renfield Syndrome and Affinity. I should probably read The Restorer or Affinity as Renfield will likely qualify for another shelf in Bingo. But I am not sure. :)
Oh no rush I thoIght I saw she had done it. :). And I thought she meant picking out next book. :) thanks for clarification!
Technically, I finished my book yesterday instead of doing my homework. Whoops. :-/ Had to do the homework, so haven't posted a review yet. Will get it done tomorrow, and then we'll have a nice shiny stamp. :-)
Hey ladies, I am about 6% in to my read for the Ghost shelf. It is not going to be a quick read, it is really good -- but not quick. One of those every word is important books. ;) I likely won't be done by Sunday - -but I will try to be done by Monday or Tuesday. I know there is no rush, we have to pace ourselves to last! Last round was a long one. ;)How are your picks going?
Urgh...I haven't even picked one. I think I'll watch how the shelves play out and read something ghosty if I have to.
Not yet. I've been writing so much lately that I've really gotten behind in my reading. I won't drop the ball here though - this is too fun!
Oh, no worries. Just making a suggestion, cuz with the free space, you could practically read whatever you want.
Alright... Here it is... The review you've been dying to read...J/k. It's not that great. Hehe.
I finished
for the Supernatural shelf on 2/12/12.Rating: ★★★★
Review: It was good. Didn't completely WOW me like I thought it might. I think I was looking for a little more action or something? I am still interested in the series though, and I will read the next book,
. Hex Hall left me with a some unanswered questions. I won't be rushing out to get Demonglass right away though. For one, I'm not in a hurry. And two, I've heard that the ending is crazy or something, so I'll probably wait till
is out too.
I haven't been in the mood to read here lately. But I hope that will change soon. I have been buying new books but not reading.
