Paul Hi, I'm new to this group - I'm getting the back cover ready for my first book. I have the ISBN emblem with number to put on the back but I'm wondering if I have to place a price on it as well? I doubt it will see the inside of many bookstores, and without a price, it gives the bookstore greater freedom to self-price it. What do you think?

M.A. Demers | 62 comments Paul, how and where are you distributing the book? This determines your approach. If you are distributing in the US, then it is mandatory to have a price code BUT you have the option to set the price or use the 90000 code, meaning the price is not set.

If you are planning to distribute the book outside the US, then you should use the 90000 code so you don't have to create different covers for different currencies.
