Was anybody else finding that this book took you a while to read? That was the case for me. I absolutely adored the other two books. Couldn't get enough. But this one, I didnt like as much. Probably becuase I had high expectations.

both of the first books took a day or two to finish while this one took about two weeks maybe. It was good, just lacking some of that fire that the first two had, hope they make it more satisfying when the mockingjay movie comes out.
Yes, same for me. Took me about two days to finish the Hunger Games and Catching Fire, but for Mockingjay, it took me almost a month.. I agree that it was good. It really was good but not as great as the other two.
I absolutely agree it was a disappointing ending to what could have been a great series. It just drag and in my opinion katniss just became whiny.
I love Suzanne Collins and her work, but she knew she was going to help write the movie screenplay and I think she just kinda wrapped up the third one to get the movie goin, but oh wells The Hunger Games is still my favorite Trilogy!
I just wrote a review for this book, I reviewed all three, this one had to be hands down my least favourite: http://nineteenreviews.blogspot.com/2...
It was kind of a disappointment for me because I had really high expectations. I thought it was good, but I didn't like the ending and nothing really surprised me. Some parts were great, but others were boring.
I think the author knew a movie was in the works and made the final book basically a movie perfect ending rather then a book type ending. I could see the screen go black in the theatre as she and peeta's children played in the meadow. Know what I mean?
Clare wrote: "It was kind of a disappointment for me because I had really high expectations. I thought it was good, but I didn't like the ending and nothing really surprised me. This was defnitely the weakest of the three. It was disappointing to me on many levels. The characters didn't feel "alive" and the plot threads felt forced. Now, I really enjoyed the first two. Bought this one before it even came out and was sorry I'd paid full price.
I think I finished it in about a day, I tried to read it slower so I wouldn't rush through all the important details, but it didn't work out so well :)
haha , I'm hoping that when I read it again, i'll catch some more details becuase the first time I read it, I wasnt really into it.
I enjoyed all three but I didn't find this as page turning as the other two. Saying that though I did really love it and was very satisfied with the ending.http://divaliciouzbookreviews.blogspo...
Truthfully I have a slight hatred for it. There are just so many things that make no sense and the characters are so flat. And Katniss just sits there being depressed and stuff...like throughout the whole book. And she's going in to the field with just a bow against guns. And I've hated the mutants from book 1 (the lizards and dogs). Primrose being there at that exact time, she really just wanted to kill everyone off. And after boggs died, everything just went from alternate universe to fantasy. I was really dissapointed with this book.
It didn't take me a long time to finish, but I found myself getting pretty bored with it. Also, the ending really shocked me. Killing Prim and Finnick felt to me like it was just pointless and the author was doing it only to kill more people. Maybe she was getting the point across more clearly that Katniss was in pain with all of her loss, but I don't think she needed to kill her sister. I didn't enjoy it as much as Catching Fire and The Hunger Games. And I was disappointed to see Katniss end up with Peeta. I love Peeta, and he's my boy, but honestly--their relationship was forced, and all the time she was honestly trying to get back to Gale and blah blah blah--it just annoyed me how Suzanne Collins decided to do that. To be honest, I liked Peeta more than Gale, but I do feel as though Gale was the one who was meant to be with Katniss. Sorry, long post--Just needed to get that opinion out (:
