Jess | 3721 comments I can't even list all the books he's written there are just too many.

What's your favorite King book? One of the old classics or a newer one?

Jill Ît, seriously that book was awesome and scared the pants off me.
However I really want to get into his dark tower books, they are supposed to link all his other books together. Anybody read them? Are they good?

Icy-Cobwebs-In-Space (readingreindeerproximacentauri) Read all The Dark Tower except of course the newest to be published this year-and yes, well worth the reading, esp. if you can try to read them consecutively in order:)

SamBFN My favorite is definately The Stand. Its one of those that will stick with you. Everytime there is a flu epidemic this book comes to mind. :-)

Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Right now I am reading 11/22/63 by Stephen King and it is really good.

As a teenager I read a lot of Steven King, I think my top five favorites are:

Needful Things by Stephen King Misery by Stephen King One Past Midnight The Langoliers by Stephen King Dolores Claiborne by Stephen King The Shining by Stephen King

I keep meaning to get to them, but then again I keep meaning to get to a lot of King's books and it hasn't happened yet. He has so many!

The Stand is another that's been on my list for awhile. I even own a copy and haven't gotten to it yet. For shame.

Jess | 3721 comments There's been a lot of talk about people saying that they think King has a ghost writer now because his writing style has changed a lot.

I'm not sure if I believe that, I think that he's been through a lot and after that whole bout with writer's block I think maybe his writing has changed a bit. But not for the worse, I definitely still like his newer books even if they are a bit different from his earlier stuff.

Any opinions?

Melodie (melodieco) I've read lots of Uncle Stevie's stuff and my favorite is The Stand by Stephen King , though 11 22 63 came very close! The only one of his that I really didn't like was the first Dark Tower book which is the only one of them I read.

message 12: by SamBFN (new)

SamBFN It scared the crap out of me. :-)

If he has a ghost writer than it is a darn good one. The book I am reading now while different has the same tone, voice...style, not sure of the adjective I should use but it feels familiar.
