Sighing, Jordan knelt down to pick up her things, reaching for a green binder with one hand, when another tanned hand beat her to it, surprising her.
(Ditto what she said..)
Great...I'm stuck with the absolute worst person to be stuck with AND I'm trapped in this dark gooey place that smells something close to crap..just terrific, I thought glancing over at Brent who was glued to the opposite wall.

(Oh my gosh, Liz..)
I looked over at Brent to confirm that I was going crazy, to have the same expression I had reflected back to me on his.

Just then, a short and plump man came into the room that Jordan and Bret were in, and the two confused kids looked up at him, waiting for him to speak.
He came over with a hose and got all the goo off of us so we were free at last.
He screamed and then started running around in circles.
Jordan then realized that it was stuck on her finger but she didnt care right now, she started running, pulling Brent behind her.
Jordan and Brent looked around in awe at all the blinking things on the wall that did; who knows what?
Then a single spotlight turned on and a hideous creature stepped into it.
"You are about to meet your doom," said the hideous creature.
Brent just shrugged then looked back at the creature who was saying something about the slow, mournful death we were going to die while Jordan looked for a way out of this.

While Brent screamed like a little girl Jordan looked up the pothole only to see the creature covering it with something that looked like cement.
Jordan screamed, then she suddenly stopped, she had heard something behind her.

Finding themselves left alone, Jordan checked her watch, which read 7:34 P.M. This was definitely not what I imagined my last day of school to be like.., Jordan thought to herself sighing out loud.
"We could take an airplane, but I dont have any money on me, you?" Jordan asked.
"So what are we gonna do?" Jordan asked, normally she always had the right answer but not now and Brent wasnt much help.
"Well I can't think of anything OK!" Jordan shouted, she missed all her family and was so frustrated; what if they could never get home?
They screamed getting its attention and it landed right in front of them, blew its fire in their direction, and flew away.
Suddenly Jordan had an idea, "What about the train?" she asked hopefully.

"OK let's go," Jordan said, ignoring Brent's look of disappointment.
They started walking, hoping to find a store where they could find a map of the town and find the train station.

The train ride was a long one, considering they had to go all the way back to Maine. While they waited Jordan and Brent conversed.

Brent felt his face become heated and looked out the window, while holding Jordan's body closer to him, so that the bumps in the tracks wouldn't fling her out of her seat, but more for personal reasons than the former.
The rest of the train ride was filled with awkward silence, with Jordan and Brent occasionally looking at each other and blushing when they met each other's eyes.
Jordan smiled back and they stayed like that, hands interlocked, until the train stopped.
"We're finally home," Jordan told him.
Jordan screamed and Brent felt the sudden urge to pull her into his arms and never let go.
Jordan ran forward, down the street and Brent followed behind her without difficulty, she wasn't a fast runner.

It was a bright afternoon, and the last day of junior year at Blue Hill High School.
