Please read the following announcement and explanation. Amazon is cutting off Kindle and CreateSpace book information.

You will need to "rescue" your Kindle books.

Although I rescued my EBooks before the 30th January, I notice that the descriptions have disappeared.

Am I missing something?

I posted this back in January when the "problems" with Amazon were in full swing. The important thing to remember is that you cannot upload images etc. for your book, or any book for that matter, from Amazon (because Amazon does not permit Goodreads to use its information).

So do you just post your original art or link to someone else, like Smahwords? I'm new at this.

If you are the author of the book, Denise, you can upload it. If you are not the author the cover must come from the author's site or the publisher's site, not from a bookseller.
