Chris | 32 comments My fellow Russophiles, I am calling on you for help. I am in a Russian Lit class this semester and need to obtain a copy of Tolstoy's Sevastopol Sketches. I have had no trouble obtaining other texts for this class through free sources (i.e. Project Gutenburg, school and county libraries)but I have searched endlessly and haven't been able to find a copy of this text. I have checked the previews on amazon.com as well but am only seeing the first 10 pgs of The Cossacks. Theoretically, I could go out and buy it from Books a Million, Barnes and Noble or something like that but I am a poor student and do not have the money. Seriously. Like my current bank account balance is eight dollars and sixty two cents and that has to last me through February. If ANYONE has any ideas or a copy of the stories they could scan or a link to an online version, I would be IMMENSELY appreciative. I would name my firstborn after you. (I feel inclined to tell you I can't have kids. But if by some miracle I do.......) Thanks guys. I'm counting on you!!!!!!

E.P. Rose (eprose) | 2 comments If you're still looking for Sevastopol, glenthebookseller has a paperback for sale, via amazon.com,
for 24 cents. He's in Illinois, I think. If you're that desperate and broke, I'll buy it for you. Send your address to eprose@tablethirteenbooks.com and I'll have them mail it to you.
You don't have to name your firstborn after me, but as and when you're in funds, you can buy a copy of my book, "Beyond The Valley Of Sex and Shopping", which is apart from anything else a quasi anachronistic prequel to Uncle Vanya, so not totally unconnected with your Russian Literature studies.
