Thanks so much for all the recommendations!!! The books that I enjoyed after are Slave to Sensation part of the Psy-Changeling series. I am on Vision of Heat the 2nd book...a lot of great moments in this book. Definitely more tame but its still very intense.

Also, Black Dagger Brotherhood series is great.

I would like to suggest GABRIEL'S INFERNO.

You know what Ana and Fifty remind me of, and I think they are a good next choice: Sookie and Vampire Eric. Same relationship. If you like the fifty trilogy I think you'll like the Southern Vampire Mysteries. But I'm betting most of you have already read them. And then of course there is always Pride and Prejudice. The original domineering male and less-than-subserviant female love story...

Sarah I actually have not read any sookie stories, just watch True Blood Series, read Anne Rice's Beauty series, going back to a mystery book had my fill of ...more

KIRKUS REVIEW...JUST IN...MUST READ

"...many parallels to the smash-hit Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy; indeed, that series’ fans may have difficulty putting it down."

Three Stages of Love Lust by T.C. Anthony

Fans of E.L. James will likely find this novel worth a look.

In Anthony’s debut, a dashing, dominant businessman sweeps a lonely girl off her feet, and they quickly fall into a submissive/dominant relationship.

This first installment of a planned trilogy chronicles the love affair between the razor-tongued Eva Chase and the super suave, slightly mysterious Mr. Alexander Mason and has many parallels to the smash-hit Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy;indeed, that series’ fans may have difficulty putting it down. Eva is an ambitious, driven businesswoman who has worked her way up to the top at Prime House Investments and plans to stay there. However, the sweet-smelling,
muscular Alexander throws a wrench in those plans. From the moment of their first meeting, when Eva literally tumbles
into his arms during a drunken bar dance on her birthday, she is powerless against him. She soon finds herself divulging to Alexander her deepest secrets and desires. The two embark upon a stormy, push-and-pull relationship, each strugglingfor powe r. All the while, Eva tries to keep her life together personally and professionally; luckily, the brazen brunette has
her two best friends, Sam and Chrissy, to help. While the overall dom/sub theme is clear, it becomes a bit unclear as to who exactly is dominant and who is submissive as the novel progresses; will Anthony put Eva in charge, as she is in every other aspect of her life? The answer is still vague at the novel’s conclusion, which may frustrate some readers.
Although Eva may strike readers as a bit grating at times—who is really that perfect or that driven?—her cat-and-mouse relationship with Alexander is consistently believable.

I just read "Wicked Burn" by Beth Kery after reading Fifty and I really enjoyed it. You will never look at a pearl necklace the same again. LOL

I have to reccommend Thoughtless & Effortless by S.C. Stephens. After searching & searching they have come to closest to capturing my attention like 50 Shades. Also I just finished Avoiding Commitment by K.A. Linde & it was awesome although filled with suprises (some of which broke my heart). Ohhh! and I have to agree on the Gabriel's Inferno & Gabriel's Rapture.

5 recommendations:

~ The Story of O, by Pauline Reage
~ The 'Beauty' trilogy, by Anne Rampling (aka Anne Rice)
~ The Warrior Within & The Warrior Enchained, by Sharon Green
~ The Almond: The Sexual Awakening of a Muslim Woman,
by Nedjma
~ Footsucker, by Geoff Nicholson

Has anyone ever read Ordinary Girl by Barbara Elsborg? I read the sample and it looks good!

FYI, I've heard recently that "Bared to You" by Sylvia Day is comparable to Fifty.

Nothing seems to compare to fifty but I have found a few books I have enjoyed that have strong alpha males and lots of flutter moments
The Moreno brothers series
Beautiful disaster
Mystery man (daydream series)
The Vincent boys
Sweet dreams
Rock me

***********just read the working chapters for 'knight' on Kristen Ashley's website.... WOW this has the makings of an amazing read... Could knight be set to rival fifty??? Bring on April!!!!!************

Anything by Megan Hart or Lauren Dane.

The books by Kristen Ashley are great. You get the super alpha male in book. I haven't read her rock chic series or the fantasy one.But the other 3 series great. Hey how good is that fever series?

The only other couple that had the same smoldering chemistry for me, is Cat and Bones in The Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost-- One of my all time favorite paranormal series; it will not disappoint. Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost

The Reluctant Dom is a really great book.

While nothing will ever compare to Fifty…two books I enjoyed reading afterwards were:
“Gabriel’s Inferno” by Sylvain Renyard
“Love Unscripted” by Tina Reber

If you’re into paranormal, the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning was one of my all time favorites.
