Actor to play Edward instead of Robert Pattinson
UGH! Robert Pattinson is NOT who I pictured as edward. I'm not an edward fan in the first place, but Bella goes on and on and on about how beautiful he is. Eh... RP doesn't fit the bill.

I thought William Levy would be a good Edward although he would have a thick Cuban accent...lol. He's pretty to look at though.

Plus he still looks young even though he's 28, and Robert Pattinson himself is 25. Besides movies where the actors are supposedly in high school never turn out to be high school age anyway. Look at Fired Up, or even The Covenant for example.

Thats so unfair! Shouldn't the author be allowed to choose who is going to be one of the main characters in the movie that is based off HER book?

That guy is definitely by far a hotter Edward.
Robert P, at least to me, sometimes looks good and sometimes just looks weird. The Edward in my imagination was MUCH hotter...but it's hard to find a real person who can compete with that. What made it worse to me, not to just bash everything, I thought his acting was pretty close to horrible. Henry would have been pretty cool.
was he the guy who played king henry in the tudors?
He played Charles Brandon in The Tudors also he played Theseus in The Immortals which he was pretty awesome.

this probably has nothing to do with the subject, but why does everyone all of a sudden have a problem with the actors and actresses? the series is basically over. it too late to change anything, even though they changed victoria in every movie.

But I do agree. The saga is over, so why bring up why a certain actor was wrong for the part?

And even though the movies are over, people can still have their opinions about who they casted, there's a whole thread about Kristen Stewart also. If people can state how much they love Rob as Edward, then I can state how much I hate it. There have been plenty of movies that have ended where people thought they should have chosen someone else, so why is this so different? It's not like I think they can go back and change it, I just like putting my opinion out there.

I know, but not everyone likes the movies, or the books for that matter. And since there are so little threads about people disliking them, I was more than happy to click on this one (not that I dont love the books lol). If you do happen to look on some other threads about the actresses/actors for Twilight, I have always in one way or another, voiced that I thought they were wrong for the parts. So it's not like I woke up just today and decided I didn't like them, I felt this way since they first casted.

Yes, but you didn't specify, when you first commented you made it seem you were talking to the people specifically on this thread. And if you know that there are others who disagree, why do you find it suspicious?
because it is out of the blue. and i am not joking. i was commenting on a hunger games thread, and this big advertisement popped up, and lead me to this.
So what exactly are you talking about, the thread being out of the blue, or that its suspicious that all of a sudden nobody likes who they casted for Edward? Even though you said you know there are others who disagree, which means it shouldnt be all that suspicious for you.
it is suspicious because all at once, they popped up. "Kirsten Stewart as Bella", "Taylor Lautner as Jacob", "Robert Pattinson as Edward". like the movie just came out yesterday.
oh, well I guess people just wanted to know how people felt about who was casted after watching the movies, since you don't really know until after the movie, if you liked the acting. As for me, I didn't like them at first based on looks alone, then when I watched the first movie, the acting was just as bad, in my opinion.
i liked the acting and what not. but, after having a huge debate over this at school, i don't care.

i never said it was pointless. i never said anything that was negative towards this discussion. what deondra and i were talking about was how many people dislike the acting choices. and i ended it with, i had this exact same discussion with my friend today at school, and i didnt want to comment on it anymore. not labeling this thread as pointless.
Thanks Teresa for starting this thread, I had no idea that S.Meyer wanted Henry Cavill as Edward! I guess Twilight's loss is Superman's gain!

No, I think Robert Pattinson is a PERFECT Edward. And, yep, although he doesnt have a 6 pack, he still has a nice body. And a nice face. :PAnd Henry Cavill as Edward? Yuck!
Christopher Lee. I think he would represent Edward perfectly.
