William Levy is super hot and all but nothing like Edward. He's completely different then Edwards description so I don't think he would've been good for this part. I do enjoy watching his soap operas ;)He is by far the hottest Cuban I've seen.

Ok ....well clearly most of you on here are not Robert Pattinson fans so I'm going to have to come in here and defend him. We all get that Edward is described as this angelic, gorgeous man (and yes Henry Cavill is also gorgeous) but we also all know that men like that do not exist in the real world therefore they did their best to cast whoever they thought would play the part best. It seems like there is always criticism on the actors of these movies. They’ve made millions of dollars and have millions of fans and yet there are still people that have something negative to say about them. I think they are all gorgeous and have proved themselves to be worthy of acting in these films. What do you people want? Just because the actor you wanted to play a part doesn’t get it doesn’t mean you have to bash on everyone else in the movie. If you don’t like them then don’t watch them; the actors aren’t changing, there have been 4 movies and you keep watching them because you want to, nobody’s forcing you. I just don’t get why you need to say “EWWW” when describing a person. I’ll bet money that you aren’t half as attractive as Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, or anyone else in the movie so stop talking crap. It’s fine if you give your opinion and say you didn’t like the movies but bashing on the actors is a whole different story.

Let me start off by saying I LOVE the books and when I read them four years ago I was obsessed, but I CANNOT stand the movies. Now that that is out of the way..

Just because you think they did their "best" at choosing the cast doesn't mean everyone does. I for one think they could have picked much better actors, and actresses. And as for their acting skills, I think Kristen, Taylor, and Rob(in this movie)sucked. Kristen sucks in every movie I've seen her in, but thats my opinion, which everyone has a right to have. And not liking the movie and bashing the actors arn't entirelly different stories, since I dont like the movies BECAUSE of the actors, and their crappy acting. Also nobody on here said they thought they were more attractive than any of them, that has nothing to do with this discussion. This is about who we thought could have played a better Edward and why, or if we thought Rob was a good choice. If people think Robert Pattinson doesn't live up to how hot Edward is described in the book, and they think he's ugly so be it, they can think whatever they want. In my opinion he isn't ugly but he's not cute either, and definitely not good looking enough for the part of Edward Cullen. And just because I dont like the movies doesn't mean I'm not going to watch them, my curiosity gets the best of me and eventually I do end up seeing them. Granted im always horribly dissapointed at the end, but if I decide I want to watch the movie, then I'm going to watch it. There might be millions of fans out there but there are also millions of people who hate the movies, and I'm proud to say I'm one of them (: Sorry if I'm a bit snotty but like how you had to defend Rob, I had to defend myself.

I agree it's ridiculous to bash Pattinson, but IMO, this is a valid discussion because many people read the books before the movies were out and had already formed THEIR idea of Edward. It doesn't make Pattinson a bad actor or unattractive, nor does it mean they were bad movies, it just means many readers pictured Edward differently and want to discuss actors who were more in keeping with their ideas of him.
