Ann-marie for me this book has been extremly slow reading! I'm trying to focus on at least one Toa a week. Sometimes I do it others times I don't.

HÒÓtie Relax....breathe...enjoy Sometimes I re-read them several times....there's no timetable.

Amy I also struggled a little with this one. I found it odd that though he specifically thanks Stephen Mitchell and claims to have been into his translation of the Tao Te Ching, he didn't actually USE Mitchell's translation.

Nancy Clifford I listened to this in the car. I had to hear the words and they helped me calm down after chemo. This man has helped me climb out of many valleys.

Sara Lane-Blackburn Not me....This book changed my life! I read it straight through and now I am doing a verse a day! This book got me through the most difficult time of my life! I <3 Wayne Dyer!!!!

Nick I'm not sure but that "slow" is even too fast for Tao. "Still" is what it's all about.

Rajiv I heard the audiobook several times. It did helped to boost my confidence when I was running in short :)

L.J. Penrod The audio book is much easier for me to really focus on, if you struggle with the book try listening to it, the effect is very different.

Louise I have not read this book. I'm looking for a book that is similar to books written by Eckhart Tolle (The Power of Now, A New Earth, Stillness Speaks). How does this book compares to the books from Tolle?

Annette Mentken How did everything go afterwards reading a verse a day. That was quite a while ago, are you still applying it to your life? Respond to me in discussion group started June, please.

Sara Lane-Blackburn Annette- Yes this book is absolutely an important part of my life still. I have given away dozens and do a book club conference call every Saturday morning. It continues to shape my everyday life and sustain me in more difficult times.

Annette Mentken I'm currently reading it, I started a discussion on it in June, I'm reading it a verse a day, I think I was attracted to your comment because it reminded me of myself, only I read The Course in Miracles and did their verses daily. I've enjoyed chatting with you. Thank you.

Annette Mentken How many people are involved? What are the rules?

message 17: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara Lane-Blackburn About 5 to 7 weekly. We haven't needed any rules per say everyone is pretty respectful of each other.

Annette Mentken Where are you? What's the phone number?

message 19: by Sara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sara Lane-Blackburn I live in Richmond Virginia. The conference call is on Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. The number is (712) 432-0075 and the passcode is 400289. Also we are on Facebook as do the Tao now :)
