Well, I'm just gonna do my best (and maybe I'll have to be creative with the tasks ; )). Let's see if I can manage 100 points. Is that being too ambitious?
Cynthia said: I don't think I would consider the pope a politician I think he could be considered more like a monarch or something... he makes political statements every now and then.
and come on... it's only the 3rd of december and people have points already!! When do you guys sleep!!

6. Read A Book That Takes Place In A Country That Is Part Of Your Ancestry (I.E. If Your Irish Read A Book That Takes Place In Ireland Or About Ireland).
All Quiet on the Western Front
total 10 points

8. Read A Book Whose Title Contains The Word Winter, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or any other winter holiday.
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

Cynthia, how do you keep your head from spinning off your neck? :-0 God bless ya!

I really need to get working on my list. I am procastrating

Sera - re. message 260 reminder books you've read MORE than 50% of before DEC. 1 won't count towards points in the challenge - only if you have 50% or less read before that date can you can use them.
Lindsey - so sorry I missed your points but I've added you to the list. And after taking a look at Wikepedia - I will accept the Pope as a political character for that challenge.
Heather 1 of many - it's a challenge but I love it!!!
Fiona - Buddha Da is a fiction book and the challenge is a non-fiction challenge so no it won't count.
If I miss updating your points please let me know so I can fix it.
Announcement - I'll be going out of town this weekend DEC 6-8 (a baby shower and a christmas party) and I don't think I'll be on during that time so don't worry if you don't see me - I'll be back!!!
I was that way before. But I think I'm a bit worse. Still trying to juggle the single mom bit but it's worse since my oldest started highschool and is in all these clubs. I swear I should just live at the highschool

No they don't but maybe I could move into the baseball field ticket booth.

I picked up East of Eden about a month ago, read about 15 pages, but I really did not care for it, so I gave up on it.

8. Read A Book That Relates To One Of Your New Year's Resolutions.
Comfort Food by Kate Jacobs
(My New Year's resolution is to cook more and eat out less, a lot less.)

I finished a 5 point task tonight:
6. Read A Book By A New, First Time Author. (The author can have only one published book at the time you read it.)
Living Rich by Spending Smart by Gregory Karp
Thanks, Cynthia :)

First up: Read a book with a body part in the title.
Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince
*Will be worth 10 points upon completion*

2. For The Holiday Season: Read a Book with a Holiday Song in the Title.
Deck the Halls by Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark
Total Points: 15

I started the challenge last night and as so many of you seem to be bringing in the points already I thought I'd start on a 25 pointer! So am reading My Father's Wives for a book that is set in a country beginning with the same letter as my name. I'll let you know when i've finished it!
Alice x

He has only written 2 books. Fallen Idols and Lost Souls (which I have both here lol).

Text from Post #23:
Darla - I was thinking more in terms of organs or appendages for that one but as long as it is blood and not bloody I'll accept that.

(sorry about the blood should've taken more attention to the reply!)
