CaptKirk42 Classic Whovian (klandersen) | 20 comments ACK! I'm trying to save my editions that are in danger of being deleted due to the Amazon database issue. My problem is for the book

Title: Survival - Star Trek: The Next Generation - Starfleet Academy #3

Author: Peter David
ISBN: 0671870866
Publisher: Minstrel Books by Pocket Books. First printing December 1993

Number of pages: 111 (plus extra pages front back bringing total to [lets see counting and calculating) 126 128 if you count the 2 blank page sides)

MY PROBLEM: The ISBN is already assigned to another edition of this book published by this edition from "Aladdin books" http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/21... (the description of which talks about Deep Space Nine?) 128 pages

I currently had assigned edition http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/21... as the one I have since the numbered page count matches at 111. Plus the image matches But it is published 1994 by Archway and again has the Deep Space Nine description.

There are two other editions one looks like it is from Germany (1997 by Hayne books)? 122 pages the other edition is from Demco books? 0 pages listed again both With the DS9 description.

If those four existing editions are legit editions they need new descriptions/synopsis.

I tried to "add an edition" because those other 4 editions all seem mixed up and not accurate to my edition, but because of the shared ISBN number I was stopped.

Here is the worldcat link http://www.worldcat.org/title/surviva... it seems to be what I'm looking for. (or at least I can live with it)

I hope I haven't confused anyone.

You can add another edition, but it will have to be minus the ISBN if there's already an edition with that one.

OK thanks that is what I was thinking of doing. My first attempt to add this edition I used the ISBN so I couldn't add it or edit what was there.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 89 comments Don't know if I should save this edition:

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/87...

It is almost the edition I have. I have a physical copy right in front of me;
however, the ISBN # is 0-8041-1952-X instead of the one shown in the above link.

Paperback with this cover The Unsung Hero (Troubleshooters, #1) by Suzanne Brockmann

Published 2000 (The Random House Publishing Group)
Pages = 392 (plus 16 of a sneak peek)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 89 comments An audiobook I want to listen to is at my library.
The closest cover I can find is this one Lady Chatterley's Lover (CSA World Classic) by D.H. Lawrence , which is "at risk":

http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/86...

The ISBN# is 9781907416682

Here is the link to my library:

You CANNOT rescue a book unless you have the matching ISBN. What you have is a different edition, presumably an alternate cover one.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 89 comments Thanks, rivka. Then I should just add these? Nothing with these ISBNs exists right now. Or should I wait until after the conversion? (To see if they are available then.)

Sure. No reason to wait. :)
