Melissa McShane (melissamcshane) | 9 comments I own a copy of this edition: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17...
and have scanned the cover. When I go to the edit page, there's no way to enter a cover image, just a link for adding photos. I've noticed this on a few other records and wondered why this happens.

Vicky (librovert) | 2462 comments There can only be one cover image per book, because this book already has a cover attributed to it you would have to delete the current picture (there is a link to delete under the current cover on the edit page) before you can upload a new one.

You should only do this if you have a better image of the same cover already uploaded. If your book has a completely different cover, you should make an alternate cover edition instead.

vicki_girl | 2764 comments You have to delete the current image first. Then it will give the option to upload your scan. Please only delete the image if your are planning to upload a better quality image OR if the image given does not match the title and author for that listing.

If you are trying to add a different cover for the same ISBN please create an Alternate Cover Edition.

Hope this helps.

Melissa McShane (melissamcshane) | 9 comments I see. I think the confusion was because the link says "delete photo" and the other link is "add additional images" which leads to a page where you can "add additional photos." So I assumed that the first one was a photo, not the cover image--especially since the so-called cover image is a picture of a set of books. Thanks for the help!
