Harry Potter. Twillight is very successful, but it doesn't cover the positive messages that Harry Potter does about friendship, sacrifice, love and never giving up hope. Harry Potter will forever have a place in my heart and made my childhood as wonderful as it could be.

Harry Potter, duh. i mean, Twilight is original too but Harry Potter has more depth and speaks to a larger group then just girl teenagers like twilight.
Harry Potter, obviously. It's one of the rare books that can draw me into the story. While Twilight... the series are getting worse with each book. I read the second and the third book and I was like, "What is this about?" But there are worse books than Twilight, trust me. I should applaud Stephenie Meyer though. Not everyone has the courage to publish their writings.
Definitely Harry Potter. It changed an entire generation!!!!!!!!!!What did Twilight change??
Neville Longbottom taught us that sometimes you must face your fears and stand up for what you believe in..he taught us how to have courage.
Luna Lovegood taught us that it’s okay to be yourself and not care what other people think about you because if they were true friends they would like the real you..she taught us how to be unique.
Ronald Weasley taught us that even if you have the emotional range of a teaspoon and nasty temper, you will always be needed.
Hermione Granger taught us that it’s not a bad thing to have a thirst for knowledge and research.
Draco Malfoy taught us that everyone makes mistakes, and that no one is completely stonic..he taught us that everyone has feelings.
Severus Snape taught us to not judge a book by it’s cover..
Narcissa Malfoy taught us just how important family really is..
Albus Dumbledore taught us that there is life beyond death..he taught us to never fear what can’t be escaped.
Molly Weasley taught us that mothers not only have a caring side, but a vicious protective side..she taught us that we can always rely on our mother.
Fred and George Weasley taught us that even in the most darkest of times, there is light, love, and hope..
Sirius Black taught us to never betray your friends and always remain loyal to those who are loyal to you..
Harry Potter taught us that life might not turn out the way you excepted it to, but as long as you never lose sight of the future that you want, anything can happen.
Beat THAT Twilight!
Harry Potter. It was a phenomenon with adults going just as crazy over the books as the kids.Twilight, while having only read a couple of extracts myself, is nowhere near as popular on a global, all-ages scale.
A possible conversation between a group of people in the future:"Hey, anyone like Harry Potter?"
"Yeah! Such a classic!"
"Anyone remember - what was it... Twilight?"
"Err... I dunno... rings a bell. Oh well."
Harry Potter is by far the superior book(s). Eventually the whole Twilight thing will die out. I have already seen people who loved it turn on it. They get sick of hearing about it. I know I have.
Both will be remembered for different reasons. Harry Potter for getting kids to read. Twilight for negative reasons too numerous to mention.
Harry Potter. Harry Potter is a work of art, while Twilight is sloppy, shallow entertainment. You get something out of your time reading Harry Potter. Real lessons that will stay with you forever. You get nothing lasting from Twilight. I think that's one series that should be forgotten. I mean really, who would you rather know? Bella or Hermione? Who seems more real to you? Who did a lot of people grow up with? That's right Harry, Ron and Hermione. Harry Potter will be remembered.

Guess they're just too scared cause they think we might stalk them and burn their houses when they're in their beds or something, cause you know, we're awesome, being wizards and all ;)))

that would have been brilliant, but explaining it kind of spoiled it ;-)
How is this even a question?Harry Potter changed the nature of how people read in the Western World. It is cultural canon.
Twilight is fluff, and is only thought about in a cliquey world of trite teenage romance. Gone the same way as many better works...
Undoubtedly, Harry Potter, hands down! Twilight is overrated in my opinion. I read the first book.... didn't go so well. On top of that, the movies are HORRIBLE.
Harry Potter most def. Twilight has had great success (definately more among teenage girls, although I'll admit I didn't read them until I was in my 20's). Harry Potter, on the other hand, while intended for children and teens, has been read by people of all ages, boys, girls, men, and women. That kind of broad audience is the tell-tale of a story that will continue to be read for several generations. And it beat the bible in book sales! I mean, it HAS to go down in history for that, right?
I think Harry Potter will be since it's enjoyed by more people of more ages, and the fans it has right now will most likely pass it on to their children. That's not to say, I don't think Twilight will go anywhere, but just not as far.
Harry Potter is genius! Even though there are some similarities to other books, I see it as one of a kind. And there have been a painful amount of vampire romances. Twilight is the sort of book that authors don't mind copying the plot a little. A human falls in love with a vampire. But I don't think anyone would quite dare write another book copying Harry Potter and his wizarding school(that I know of at least, I may just be out of the loop). So it's Harry Potter for me.

Rowling likes a lot of great authors.
Well, I believe that people will remember both series. Harry Potter because it's brilliant. Twilight for a plethora of less noble reasons.
Harry Potter definately because children grew up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. For years Harry Potter has changed millions of lives. It teaches valuable lessons and you grow to really love the characters. Twilight is for teen girls who obsess a stupid girl trying to decide between a vampire and a werewolve. Yes, I read the first book of Twilight and did not like it at all. I just dont find it interesting at all. But thats just my opinion.
For Sure Harry Potter. Twilight didn't have a very broad audience like Harry Potter did. And although both are fantasy, Harry Potter is just a better story in general.
Harry Potter is not just a book. To so many more its so much more. Everyday a new kid starts with the book, and joins the Hogwarts. Beats the troll, saves the stone, opens the chamber, saves Sirius, gets chosen by goblet, joins the DA, learns with the prince and beats voldemort. They join Harry, Ron and Hermione. They laugh with the twins.
This world, is going to take a long, A very long time to be forgotten. I don't think it ever will be.
Breanna wrote: "Twilight toatallly Harry potter is stupid it's going to be remembered for idiotic stuff"Exca- uuse me! What good stuff will twilight be remembered for? About stupid vampires, unwanted babies, and forbidden love? Who cares about that when there is magic? And not the sparkling kind. Harry potter will totally be remembered for ever and ever as a classic that everybody loves. Harry Potter is not stupid or idiotic. But twilight is. Anyways r patz and k stewart suck at acting.
Oh good greif. I hope beyond anything that it will be Harry Potter. This is the series that showed adults that YA was a viable literary branch and that anybody could enjoy it. In addition, it is very well written. The Twilight series, on the otherhand, is pandering, poorly written, and extremely derivitive.
Breanna wrote: "Twilight toatallly Harry potter is stupid it's going to be remembered for idiotic stuff"OH yeah.. You're probably right.
*whisper* sorry guys, I have a policy to NEVER get into an argument with people who have mental deficiency (or atleast, SPELLING and SENTENCE deficiency) ;))
I agree-Harry Potter for SO many reasons!!! I'm a little biased, but I truly think Harry Potter is more interesting, amazing, enchanting and flashlight under the covers book. Way more than twilight.
I'm a fan of both but speaking of which one is going to be remembered i lean more toward Harry Potter
Aurora wrote: "I think Twilight will be remembered because of the haters, not the fans. There Are a few who are indifferent to it(go take a jump).I don't hate twilight but twilight lovers, and haters can be way tooshowy.
Goodness I hope twilight wont last. I think it would be best for it to forgotten in the next 10-20 years
Aurora wrote: "I think Twilight will be remembered because of the haters, not the fans. The fans become so much more...noticeable because they want to be more showy of their love for Twilight haters hate..."I disagree. But I do hear you quite clearly. Twilight will definetly be remember SOMEWHAT but I think Harry Potter would be remembered a lot more becuase of the well done job Mrs. JK Rowling did on the books.
Harry Potter will be me remembered as the far superior one between the two. Twilight will be remembered (more so now that it has become a successful movie series). But, Harry Potter has far more success with more people. I think that the real question now is going to become what each is remembered for. Twilight will be remembered as a book that was popular for awhile, Harry Potter will lbe listed as a classic alongside the Chronicles of Narnia and The Wizard of Oz.
