I won the $79 kindle in a giveaway, which is awesome... but I have to say, I find it extremely annoying to use. Moving around click by click on that keyboard - agh! I have a Nook Touch and love it, and am wondering if I should trade in the kindle for a Kindle Touch? Pros/cons? I've heard it doesn't have any page turn buttons at all, which seems like a drawback to me.

Sounds like the Kindle Touch would be right up your alley.I have one and I love it. I considered the $79 version first but now I'm glad I went with the Touch.
I have the $79 one and absolutely love it. I originally had the first generation Kindle so was used to all the maneuvering around with the scroll, etc. I at first thought I would miss the keyboard, but I don't.
I do not miss the Kindle keyboard. I got a Kindle Touch a couple of months ago and I love it. I had to train myself to not touch the screen while reading, which I did a lot with my K2 but it didn't take long to correct that. The Touch is small, light and very responsive. I especially like that "pinch" thing to adjust the font.
I have both the $79 kindle and the kindle touch. I thought I would miss the page forward and backward buttons but since the fingerprints really don't show up on the kindle it hasn't bothered me. I like the touch better than either the $79 kindle or the kindle 3 (or 2 for that matter). The only issue I've had with the touch is when I stop reading for a moment and do a bunch of other stuff and accidentally hit the screen and end up moving around in the text. But that really can't be avoided with a touch screen.I never found the $79 kindle awkward because I never found myself typing much text. But the touch is nicer and has the x-ray feature which is really cool.
Yeah a lot of people complain about fingerprints before they've seen a Touch but I can safely say fingerprints will definitely not be a concern. They don't really show, even when looking for them.
An occasional accidental page turn is the only problem I have had with the Kindle Touch. The device is a bit thicker than the Kindle 3 though. Must be because of the touch screen technology.
I actually like the thickness, the kindle 4 is so thin that it's a little uncomfortable to hold while the touch with it's additional thickness is a bit more comfortable.
I love my Kindle Touch. The screen is far more responsive than I thought it would be - even the slightest tap is enough to turn the page. I think it has good weight and it fits well in my hand. The reason I got it was because I didn't want to deal with clicking around with that little button and I don't regret it at all!
When I was considering getting a Kindle - I didn't look at anything 'cept the Touch cause it's exactly what I wanted. I didn't want to deal with buttons (too used to apple technology with the touch functions, I guess). Now, I love it. I love just tapping to do page turns or sometimes just swiping up for chapter navigation (if the book supports it). It has everything I need :).
It's well worth it. wife and I upgraded to one this week and it's just wonderful to use. you get lost in it -- basically like a book.
I am still on the fence. In many ways, I love the Touch... I would not go back to buttons. But there are times (when my hands are sweaty or whatnot) when I wish I had the option of using buttons. I really think that touchscreen+buttons is the best of both worlds and I hope the next kindle will include both.
