Experiment BL626 | 358 comments There are two authors who goes by the name "Sonny." I added "(2)" to the 2nd Sonny's name to separate the above book from the 1st Sonny's author profile because I do not know the official way to do this. Does anyone knows?

There is no way to disambiguate single name authors. We generally leave them combined.

I see then. Guess I'll just leave it like that. I changed it in the first place at the behest of the 1st Sonny.

Rosemary | 44 comments That doesn't seem right to me. If one Sonny wants to be disambiguated, shouldn't he add something to his own name, rather than expect Goodreads to call the other guy Sonny (2)?

Why don't you PM Sonny and ask him yourself: here =)

Personally, I don't think it will go well if you start dictating what pen-name author should or should not use.

Exactly. It sounded like that's what you had done to Sonny (2). Maybe I misunderstood?

How do you supposed I go about it then? Please, by all means, change the Sonny (2) back to Sonny if it bothers you. =)

Snail in Danger (Sid) Nicolaides (upsight) | 106 comments Pretty sure that Sonny (or should I say, Sonny and Sonny) are just going to have to live with this limitation of GR's database for the foreseeable future.

Rosemary | 44 comments I think so too, but I am not senior to anybody here. Experiment, if you think you have done the right thing then I will not reverse what you have done. That would only annoy the Sonny who asked for the change. If anything else is done I think it needs a super/moderator to decide and communicate the decision to Sonny.
