Daniel Clausen I just wanted to share this blog post that I wrote a few weeks back. I'm looking for anyone willing to read an advanced review copy of my novel, the Ghosts of Nagasaki. I'm looking for about two more people.

Free Review Copy of Ghosts of Nagasaki for Proofreaders
There are still months to go before my next novel Ghosts of Nagasaki is a published book.

However, the book has been finished for sometime now, and in order to make it as polished and publication ready as possible, I am looking for a few good proofreaders and reviewers.

As a proofreader and reviewer, I would want you to read the book once thoroughly for any typos, errors, etc, and to write up a short review of the book.

In exchange, I'll be willing to buy you any moderately priced book you would like from Amazon or another retailer.

I'm looking for about 6-8 reviewers.

Sharon (fiona64) Hi, Daniel. I'm noticing that you do not seem to have had many takers. That's because proofreading/copyediting is a time-consuming process to do well. I charge $20/hour for proofreading; while I can't speak for anyone else, I think that offering a "moderately priced book" in exchange for professional level services that may require several hours' time is not a winning proposition. I would like to recommend that you visit your local community college and have a chat with the journalism instructor. He or she may be able to recommend some editing students who can use your book as a project for class credit in exchange for doing the work. Best of luck!

Daniel Clausen Hey Sharon, you're absolutely right. It was tough finding six people to edit the book--so I cast my net wide, including friends of mine and readers of my last book.

At the moment, I've switched gears and am now looking anyone who is willing to post an excerpt of the book on their blog. Most likely, this will again be fans of my last book. You can check out the excerpt here:

Rebecca Graf (rebeccagraf) My editor who is on Goodreads charges a penny a word. I can also review your book and point out anything I find but won't search intently for them.

Hey Rebecca. Fortunately, I now have all the feedback I need from dedicated volunteers.

What I would really appreciate is for you to check out a few of the excerpts posted on my main page. Please pass them on to others. That would be outstandings.
