Sounds fun and will hopefully help me clear off my TBR shelves. I'll post my progress as I go since I'm not sure exactly what all I'll read yet!
Normally I'd have a lot more books to fit in these categories, but I read most of them last year. . .I guess this means I'll just have to buy more books.
Michelle - I love when challenges fit together, lol.
Melissa - I use ANY excuse to buy new books, that is for sure.
Melissa - I use ANY excuse to buy new books, that is for sure.
OK I'm in and will be counting "The lady in the tower" (about Anne Boleyn's fall) by Allison Weir towards number 2.
Hmmm...this is a tricky challenge in some parts! A prince as the main character. Hrrmmm...I can't think of any off the top of my head, but I'll get to work on it! Interested folks can check out my own book. I'm happy to say it's getting good reviews, and it would fit the "female ruler as central character" requirement or the "set before the 16th century" requirement.
What a good way to go through my TBR pile! This list will take some more work and maybe some tweaking.1. Read a book where the male ruler is the central character.
The Princes of Ireland
2. Read a book where a female ruler is the central character.
The Other Queen

Still haven't found any castle books. Any ideas? And I don't know why it took this long but I finally made a shelf for this challenge so i don't have to keep looking in the thread. So far finished one book and started another.
Great job, Destiny, and that is a good idea about the shelf. I have shelves for all of my challenges.
As for the Castle book, the castle just has to figure prominently. So almost any book that takes place mostly in a castle could be used.

I'd love to join this challenge! One of my other challenges this year is Royalty related so I think I shouldn't have too many issues with being successful. Not to mention, I really need to get my royalty books that are piling up at home read (I keep buying and not reading....)
