Why do you think Clary recgonizes Tessa?

They never definitively say, ..."
I agree! Tessa just CAN'T end up alone! And if she and Will got together than she would be related to Jace but can Shadowhunters and Warlocks be together? Because we're not sure that she's a warlock!
This can't be a spoiler! Because all the scenarios don't make sense at ALL... *cry* Why is this soo hard?

But don't count out time travel - magic and clockwork creations could result in some pretty cool things :P

Yeah, she lives during Victorian times, mid to late 1800's. And the reason we know it is Tessa is because Cassandra Clare has said as much on Twitter and in interviews and also, there was short story at the end of the US (as far as I know) Clockwork Angel paperback called Magnus' Vow and it takes place right after the party and the other's go back looking for Simon. Magnus reminisces about the past and the hard time an immortal, like a warlock, has with loving mortals. And he specifically thinks about Tessa and her troubles, although no hints were given as to which direction she ends up going in the Will/Jem issue.

Haha ya ikr! I started crying until that little important detail at the end...lol

It was a april fools joke or not i read the tags but is that true........

Actually I'm halfway through it but i don't remember reading about her in city of glass."
Me too, i don't remember Tessa showing up in COG...i need to re-read the epilogue..

Nah its not true, was for april fools but I thought it was relevant to this topic haha (:
I knew it wasn't true 'cause I knew she'd never reveal that much online :p

Also Magnus takes away someone's immortality, I think that he takes away Tessa's immortality, she also can have kids and marries will.
Jem becomes a silent brother.
Or perhaps. Jem dies, will becomes a silent brother and Tessa lives forever.
Whatever way cc writes it can't wait for the final books from both sets of books. Want to see the family tree...
Clary recognizes Tessa because Tessa travelled into the future and visited clary when Magnus was wiping her mind...

I agree that one becomes a silent brother and I believe it is Will. I think Tessa will stay with Jim and Will will not want anyone else. Also Tessa was outside the city of bones in one of the mortal instrument books she gave Clary a message about Jocelyn-but I think Tessa was there visiting Will...or maybe Jem.

Cassandra Clare stated that "there’s a reason her (Tessa's) last name is so close to Clary’s false last name, Fray". It is interesting that Clary, who has the ability to create new runes, ones that are not contained within the Gray Book, has such a similar false surname to both Tessa and the Book.

That was my immediate thought yes!

Yes I have that is defiantly a possible.

because in a few years time when all the books are out, people won't be reading them in publication order like u..."
THANK YOU for saying that. i just started reading TMI series so i didn't know to read the other one too. i guess i should?

Because both mortmain and Jonathan want to finish with shadowhunters. Because if tessa still hides forma mortmain that means he is still alive maybe because he had found the way to be inmortal

and you guys remember how Magnus told Clary that it hadn't been him how had actually blocked her mind and that it had been someone more powerful, like Tessa.

Is she also mentioned in COFA?
I've just started reading ID, I'm on book two now.
Darn, I can't remember Tessa Being mentioned in cOG and COFA. I think I gotta re-read it :)

she is the main charter in the Infernal Devices trilogy. it's the prequel to the Mortal Instruments series.

this makes so much sense! If this is true, you are a very smart person haha

I think Cassandra Clare is trying to make us think one way, and I definitely don't think it's a spoiler. Honestly, I think she's trying to trick us
