Oh man, that is good. I also think because in the last hunger games they had barely any "natural" deaths(aka not a kill by a tribute) deaths. They wanted to make it so people could figure it out but couldn't figure out what was in each place unless they went there. Plus there were guaranted "natural" deaths.

That's a good point...that Games seemed to be very unpopular with the Capitol people, and if, like you said, the tributes were dying their "natural" deaths, the Capitol could take less credit for the fatalities, therefore making the Capitol people not hate them for killing their celebrities.
Another thing is that they didn't have a tortures in the last place that. I mean Katniss was really riveted by the screams of Prim. Yeah, and the capitol people must have hated/loved having Katniss and Peeta back. Hated because now they would have to save 2 tributes AGAIN. And loved because Katniss was "pregnent" which only added to the drama of "Tearing Love Apart"sponsered by the capitol Hunger Games

i think it was symbolic of the Capitol's dominance. Everyone knows you can't control time and they were kinda proving that they could in the worst possible way. It was like they were flaunting their power over the tributes' lack there of. it was like they were trying to show everyone, especially those rebelling and of course the tributes in the arena as all of them had rebelled so publicy (joining hands after the interviews), that they had complete control over everything and trying to highlight the futility of fighting against them. of course this didn't work though. whoopee for rebellion!
well thats my theory anyway...

Thank you. I actually pondered this idea for a long time while reading it. I tend to have a habit of over analysing things.

i think it adds a more intersting dimension to stories than what you simply read and take in. its a little more fun.
lol

why would it be scary to over analyse? (i don't mean to sound rude, promise)

Have you studied lines? I always think about how they go on and on forever...but where do they go?
