Just go into edit profile and change your first/last name.
My username is also rather random but it doesn't need to be your display name
I'd like to say hello, but I'm not sure what name to say hello too ;)

Nope. But I can add silly tags to Simon's name. ;)
Hi Julie! You are more than welcome here! Actually I believe a few of our groupites have Sonys. I know I've had one or more conversations about them in here.
As long as you love books (and cake) and can put up with and hopefully join in with our bonkerishness, you'll love it here.
And welcome Linipoos! I love the name! I wouldn't change it!

A giant 'name' coming through the window saying I must be visited by the three ghosts of names.

She is called Torey

D.d are you feeling okay sweetie? You didn't shorten (or lengthen) anyones name!!

Shhhhhhh!
I'm gonna spring their new names on them later when they least expect it!!!

Hiya Jonny! My name's DeeDee welcome to the madness!!!

I write with my best friend, and we published our first book

Kindle is all still pretty new to us, so we're hoping to make the most of the experience! ;-)
New to Groups and just finding my way about!

Hi Jo! I'm DeeDee, welcome!!

I suspect I could end up spending more time here than I do on Facebook - eek. :-o

It is horribly addictive!!! Lol!

I would start a withdrawal clinic, but I don't want anyone leaving.

My name is Leigh (male) and I'm from Leicester.
I used to read about 4 or 5 books a year up until I bought my kindle last January. I think I read about 20 or so last year.
I'm open to all sorts of genre really and I do like a good ghost/supernatural story.
I think my favourite book last year was One Day which I was surprised about. I wouldn't normally be attracted to this sort of book, but because of the hype around it, I gave it a read. I
t was excellent. Just goes to show that you can't judge a book....etc.
My favourite author is Bill Bryson. I especially like the travel books that he wrote.
So that's a little about me.
Cheers

And Lorraine, we cross-posted last night, so I missed your welcome! Belated thanks!
Geoff, I think withdrawal would be very difficult, about on a par with trying to wean myself off chocolate. ;-)

Hi Leigh! I'm DeeDee, welcome to the club!!!

(I'm new, too.)

Ignite, I downloaded A dish best served cold earlier from your recommendation.
Looks good.

His books are safe but the imports that GR are mucking around with data plus a lot of the Covers come from Amazon even if the information doesn't. Gonna wait until they cut of all the data from Amazon and then go through and fix covers and the more detailed data.
