The 2004 translation is available in major book stores, so I hope there wouldn't be problems in getting a copy.

And may I suggest that the discussion for the next book be a separate discussion thread from other comments about the writer? As a new member I had a hard time finding the discussion for "A Bend in the River". I didn't think anyone was discussing it yet!

Anymore nominations? I intend to close nominations on Friday next.

We also do this in one of my other groups (Filipinos). We do that for the purpose of getting copies of the books ahead of time. And also to adjust our reading plans.

1. I am not sure where to put the thread
2. I'm sort of new here
So should we wait for David and the other older members?

I'm closing nominations tomorrow and will set up adiscussion thread on Saturday, if there are no further nominations by then. If there are we'll have to have a vote.
Please remember that the nominator of the selected book is expected to lay out a timetable for the read and to lead the discussion of the book.
