I can't wait until the snow is gone. I'd rather be sitting in the sun reading than hiding from the cold in bed.

Wow! Y'all keep warm. I love to play in the snow and watch it cover everything, but I hate being cold. LOL!
I'm sure I have seen somewhere a board of all the bingo cards but I can't find it again. Just want to see who's in better shape.
Just hanging out and waiting - -not sure why since I am still working on my ghost book. :) I still cannot wait for the announcement!
I've got a box of valentines chocolate to share and a nice bottle of red wine I got from the wizard of oz winery last week.

Our next shelf announcement is up ~ 'Favorite Series' (personal shelf)Members are allowed to choose a book from one of their favorite series.
** Please let me know if you have any questions about 'personal shelves'. The book does not have to be currently listed on one of your GR shelves, but must be added as 'currently reading' when you start the book.
Happy Reading, Everyone! :)
Yay!! Shelf up! Was anxiously waiting, lol. Ice-cram all around! (middle of summer here, and 40ºC temp, I'm meeeltiiinnggg)
LOL! Happy Reading, everyone!Oh no, don't melt away, Taly. ;) I was curious about your new GR name, Zanahoria, so I Googled it. Gotta ask - are these correct definitions for the word:
zanahoria [than-nah-o'-re-ah]. noun. 1 - Carrot. 2 - Idiot (imbécil); clumsy oaf (desmañado)? Certainly you're not callin' yourself an idiot. I'm definitely a clumsy oaf and have been called a carrot(top) before. Sorry, just curious. ;)
Question! Faery Tales & Nightmares - would this be eligible, since several of the stories are set in the Wicked Lovely universe? If not, I'll pick something else. :)
I've never heard any secondary meaning for the word zanahoria. In the DR at least, it means just carrot.
Steph -- clarification please.Re-reads allowed, but does that include the first in the series? Just want to be sure in case there's someone out there wanting to do a series re-read in anticipation of the newest release. :D
Valerie wrote: "Question! Faery Tales & Nightmares - would this be eligible, since several of the stories are set in the Wicked Lovely universe? If not, I'll pick something else. :)"Valerie, as long as it is a favourite & not a new2you author or series it is OK.

If someone wants to re-read #1 that would be OK. But it must be obvious that it is a re-read, ie it must already be logged on GR by that person.
Sandra wrote: "Valerie, as long as it is a favourite & not a new2you author or series it is OK."Awesome, thanks! WL is definitely a favorite of mine, but I just wanted to double-check. :) Should be coming in the mail soon!

Thanks, Sandra! :-)
Thanks for following up on those ?s, Sandra. Exactly, re-reads of a #1 should just be marked as such and already listed on the player's GR shelves as previously read. LOL Taly, gotcha, GTK. I was curious. :)
Friendly Reminder: Please remember to post the date you finished your book along w/your ★ rating and review. Thanks!

Hey, it's nice to get asked.
Steph wrote: "Friendly Reminder: Please remember to post the date you finished your book along w/your ★ rating and review."
You mean both the old and this one times?
Happy read everyone!

Happy read everyone!
Note: AmandaG asked a great question. She asked if this week's book must be added a (personal) shelf named 'favorite series'. The answer is no. The book doesn't have to be added to any specific shelf, any will do.
Zanahoria (Taly) wrote: "You mean both the old and this one times?"Sorry, hun, I'm not sure I understand your question. I posted that reminder b/c some players are omitting the date they finished their book each week. They are posting their ★ rating and a review, but no date finished. All three are required. Does that help?
If I'm still misunderstanding, please clarify your question. ;)
Oh, yeah. I have been adding the date I finished each book, but thought maybe this time, since for me involves a re-read, I should put both dates.
If you like Taly, then you could put in your review what felt the same or what changed between reads.
Thanks! I'll do those. It'll be interesting :D
I wanted to share this with y'all.Back during Round 2, I made the comment that a Soldier with the last name Curran was being assigned to the office I worked in. Fellow team mates were suggesting I steal name tapes and asking if he looked anything like a certain Beast Lord :D.
At the time, I was reluctant to even sneak a picture. Now, though, I can provide a visual.
His son recently graduated from Infantry School. The local channel did a human interest piece because the son is a 4th generation Infantrymen. The interviewed both, plus his maternal grandfather.
A couple of things...
They look and sound alike.
I hate the Army blues. It's too dressy for some occasions -- like wearing a tux when a suit and tie would suffice. The drill sergeant hats look out of place with the blue uniform.
Enjoy!

Very cool, Christina, thanks for sharing! He looks so young to have a son graduating from infantry school. I'm biased, but I prefer the Marine Corps' dress blues to all other services' dress uniforms. ;)

Yeah, I remember when someone in the office asked about that -- they were surprised to learn he had a son going through Basic. He was young when his son was born.
I may have grown up around the Army, but I have to agree with you about the Corps' dress uniform! :D
And I have a soft spot for Navy dress whites...;-)
The problem with the Army change -- the Army had dress blues and they had the "business attire" type (the green uniform). Someone had the brilliant idea to combine the two. HUH? Yeah, it may look nicer in the halls of the Pentagon, but ye gads! The guys in the office are happy they don't have to wear it.
