Just past Bruce Willis :)"
I know!!
I've just passed Alliflash and Gigantagator :)

And who needs diet snacks???? Isn't this supposed to be a party?!?!?!?
I love the new shelves. I was just wondering how I was going to fit in some of my other books.

True but... imagining myself eating them when I know I can't have them = torture! and I'm only on day 4...

Add your want list. Everyone pitches in and we get everyone covered.
The party this time is going to be AWESOME!

I'm going to chow down on my e-snacks, while I read my e-books, on my e-reader, and chat them up with my e-gal-pals!!!
We need music. Who was in charge of tunes last time? I think it was Moss. Is she playing? Oh DJ Funky Missy Mossy!!! Where R U???

Assuming everyone who signed up is 100% in, we'll have 75 players - 15 teams with 5 players each. Once I've received a PM RSVP response, I'll put a check by your name on the signup sheet on page 1. As soon as every player has RSVP'd, I'll randomize players into teams and post team threads. I'll also post a message here letting everyone know that teams are up, so you can begin chatting with your teammates, thinking up a team name, picking a captain, etc.
New rule: Since we have so many teams this round, I will need for each team to pick a captain who will do the following:
(1) Create a post each week listing the books their teammates will be reading (on your team's thread). Update the list as they read, rate, & review their book. (See past BSB rounds for examples of how others have tracked team reads)
(2) Notify me, on the "Stamp Me" thread (to be created) that your team is ready for their shelf stamp. Include a link to your weekly listing of books read by your team, ensuring that each one notates in some way that the books have all been read, rated & reviewed.
Lemme know if you have any questions. :)

SO, I'll have to send the remaining PMs tomorrow.
Also, Katie (signed up in post #57), your profile is set to private, which doesn't allow me to send a PM. Please RSVP here. Thanks!

Most people (#d 1-54) have already RSVP'd 'PLAY', so we're movin' in the right direction at least. :)
In the meantime, I'll go ahead and create the team threads and work on shuffling shelves for the bingo cards. Please ... no posting to team threads until players are assigned; until then, consider them under construction, thanks!

Same here. With the exception of the personal ones, I've created short lists for nearly all of them. I figured it would save some time on Shelf Announcement Days. :-)

(2) A book off of any of the group's new release threads: Any month while the game is in play.
Which threads are concerned by this rule?

LOL, Lethal. I just created a shelf called 'bingo' and added books from those shelves I thought would give me problems. I'm not creating lists...at least I won't until I know which team I belong! :)

Yeah, that's what I've been doing. :D I'm excited!
Also, I have a question. Graphic novels and books under 200 pages aren't allowed, but what about anthologies like Angels of Darkness and Home Improvement: Undead Edition? Provided you read all the stories, of course. :)

:D It took about two hours (closer to 2 1/2) to screen 17 lists. Some, as soon as I saw a book I owned, I wrote it down and didn't look any further. Others, like paranormal mystery, I'm glad I did what I did. Thank goodness for Harry Dresden!
Also, I kept an eye out for dragon books, since there isn't a dragon shelf this round. ;-) I rather know that I can read one for, say, fantasy, and not have to rely on Reader's Choice! :-)

I'm going to skip monthly challenges this time.
Heck, I still might not read the books I chose. Now that I'm nearly caught up on the Psy-Changelings, I might decide to read as many Mercy Thompson, or Dirk & Steele, or Night Huntress books as I can during this round, just so I can be caught up (or close to it). :-)

The "new release threads", which I've been absolutely terrible about keeping current, can be found here . Since I'm horribly behind on updating them, I'll modify the rule for this round. ANY new release book posted within that folder is allowed (assuming it meets the pg# rule).
Valerie wrote: Also, I have a question. Graphic novels and books under 200 pages aren't allowed, but what about anthologies like Angels of Darkness and Home Improvement: Undead Edition? Provided you read all the stories, of course. :) "
Anthologies are allowed, if the player reads the entire book and the entire book is over 200 pages. Some anthologies have less than that, but those you named should be fine. Graphic novels are not allowed.
Please, let me know if I've missed marking anyone that's RSVP'd, if I've missed any questions, or if you have any questions.

You can't really check them out, exactly, until the game begins, otherwise what would be the fun in that. Steph posts the link when the shelf is called.

ETA: Oh, and, there are NO dumb questions! ;)

Well, if you want to get a sneak peak at ALL the shelves that we'd be reading for this round, just click on one of the Team threads and that would give you the list of shelves.
But we'll just know what we're reading each week once Steph posts that shelf. :)

I'm hoping the yearly challenges will work just as well for that. :-) Hence my lookout for dragon books. ;-)
