Yeah, like a TBR pile less than 600 is a goal never to be achieved.

Mine's now topped the 1700 mark, most of which I own.And yes Zaanodes, you need a calculator to work it out :D
Yay, I feel so much better now... My TBR pile is only approaching the 500 mark... It's a baby pile in comparison!
Mine changed so fast I don't even remember the 500 mark... :)Sandra: I also own most of mine. And I don't read anywhere near fast enough.
My TBR is around 200 books but those are only books I have in my hands (meaning I own them or took them out from the library.) Books that I'm planning to get from the library or books from series I'm reading are not in there, LOL!
I own 80% of my tbr pile. Books I want to read that I don't own are on my wishlist, so easy to calculate :)

Right?!
I own 100% of my TBR list here @ GR. I don't add it as TBR until I have it. I actually need to go through my wishlist again here soon b/c I know I now own some that are still hangin' out on that list.
That would be leaving me open to double buying. First thing I do when I buy something is remove it from the wishlist. Just saying .....
I do that, too....they make a nice orderly progression...TBR=>Ordered=>Owned (skip step 2 for e-books)...knock on wood...no non-deliberate double buys, yet.
Liking it, just no time. Plus we are having an unexpected heat wave and it's super hot here. 26C is about 82F or so --> never happens here in March, so we are outside frolicking, lol.
Ugh you all are making me jealous! I am already 3 books behind due to absolutely not enough time. I am hoping to catch up here in the next week.
I try to stay on top of it, Judithe, and move them over as I've bought them. But, some don't make it over quick enough. Though I've gotten better about double-checking before buying b/c of past double purchases. No... too early to pace. LOL! Soon!
Enjoy that great weather, AH & Regina. I'd much rather unexpected nice weather vs. unexp bad weather. :D
Hope you can get to your books soon, Meghan. Stinks when RL doesn't allow for enough book-time.

Blueyes -- Leah -- wrote: "You aren't alone in your pacing! I was pacing silently.. sneaky pacing!"So that's why it looked like someone was following Steph around. You were sneaky-pacing-ninja-stalking her! :-D
Alyssa wrote: "So that's why it looked like someone was following Steph around. You were sneaky-pacing-ninja-stalking her!"Well, I gotta make use of my ninja skills somewhere and since reading is my top priority, it just made sense to use em here!
I only pace when I am at work... or if I am off for the whole day. I am finishing some books that I am behind on for this though.
Shelf, Shelf!Only 12 hrs. till the announcement!!! What will I do till then?
(Not the laundry, not the laundry.)
Well, darn. That didn't work. Steph is probably in bed by now. So...9 1/2?? hours to go??
What to do? What to do?
Steph's 1 hour ahead of me and I've seen her post like 7 am my time I think. SO yeah, anywhere between 6-8 hours.
Lis wrote: "shelf! shelf! Shelf! Shelf! Shelf! SHelf! SHelf! SHElf! SHElf! SHElf! SHELf! SHELf! SHELF! SHELF!"LOL I like the progression from shelf whisper to SHELF YELL!!
I have been silently stalking for about 2 ½ hours. :) Not that I need a new one. I am already behind.
Hehe, it makes me feel so much better when I come to this thread and find that people have been pacing anxiously for hours! It's been Sunday for hours now...
LMAO! Now I need ninja protection? >;)Your shelf is he-ya: PNR-UF (said in my best early morning southern butler voice) ... now it's back to bed for my old, tired bones. Enjoy and Happy Reading, Everyone!

The shelf announcement is up now, so I suppose you're safe from the ninjas for another week ;)
