Day 16- Super Powers?

What powers do you think Charley has, but doesn't know she has? Reyes tells her she doesn't even know how powerful she is, so tell me what you think she may be capable of.

I think she can astral project herself. When she makes out with Reyes no one can see her move...so Astral Projection :D

I was thinking the same thing Cindy. I suspect there's more to-maybe some type of kick butt power but I'm not sure what.

The 31st is almost around the corner and I'll buy my book! We can dissect it here page by page. I'm so proud of myself, I haven't read one review. I feel like it would corrupt my take on the book, but I'm dying to know things. LOL

I could be bribed with the book...but I don't want to KNOW things until I read them! Darynda has such a wonderful witty style of putting Charley's life in some semblance of order. Although ORDER and Charley's life are deffinately an oxymoron!

I have to say her powers remind me a bit of the star in Stardust, so who knows... she may shine a lot and also be able to protect the guy that holds her heart? Hehe

Do you think she could have a longer life expectancy? Will she be able to move at a greater speed than most humans? Remember: In chapter twelve of Second Grave on the Left, Charlie remembers fighting Caruso in slow motion but her father asked Charlie how she moved like that and said she moved inhuman (page 145).

Traci - I would love for her to be able to vanish or leave her corpal body as Reyes does...maybe there was a hint to that in our favorite scene where Charlie and Reyes are making out in front of eveyone. Didn't the ghost Elizabeth say that it appeared like their souls were mingling or something...that Charlie separated from her body to be with Reyes and that her corpal (physical) body remained unmoving, plastered to the wall (page 73) inFirst Grave On The Right?

Cindy - I believe you are correct again...Charlie will be able to harness her light to kill evil demons...check out page 232 in Second Grave on the Left.

It would be awesome of she could learn to communicate telepathically with Reyes.

Oh, Mel, I am one needy bitch! I told my husband that I was not to be disturbed for anything short of a bullet wound on that day. He asked me "what book was it this time." My kids rolled their eyes and asked what casserole I was going to make so they wouldn't starve. The last one was called Chicken Fever Casserole in honor of Shadowfever. He he!

Gals...will you even remember to eat? If you didn't have kids to take care of, could you get so wrapped up in a book that you forget meals? I have done so on numerous occasions when on vacation reading a good book while my husband was at work. If he did not remind me to eat, I would honestly forget. When a book is that engrossing, I often have trouble tearing myself away for much.

Oh, I would definitely want to jump him...the sight of him makes my temperature rise but unfortunately, Cindy, he has only had eyes for Charlie. Poor pitifully horny me...I would have to cool down with another who is far less scrumptious.
