My vote is for Stewart. He isn't just funny. He is quite brilliant and quick.

Stewart on Crossfire

I love Colbert, but he seems.... in some ways childish. And obnoxious. He's smart but I think if Stewart got an IQ test, it would be incredibly high. No exaggeration.

Colbert would be entertaining, but Stewart would be better because, as you said, he is smarter. By the way, he won at Crossfire. He totally told them off.

And in the last two weeks he's had two people from FOX on and he totally destroyed them!

Colbert does stand for justice and truth though. Have you read I am America (and so can you!)?
His book is deeply inspiring.

I have not, but it's on my list of things I won't ever get around to reading.

I have no doubt he stands for justice and truth, but why wouldn't Stewart?

The answer to this question totally depends on whether we are talking about Stephen Colbert: the man, or Stephen Colbert: the man on T.V.
