32. Whatever does Will mean by “demon pox” and why does Charlotte say there is not such thing?
I think that Will is joking. I think that is is some kind of disease he invented...
33. So, what did you think of the beautiful vampire, Lady Belcourt? Do she and Will have some sort of “romantic” or flirtatious history? What about her statement regarding de Quincey being the “most dangerous vampire in London” and “any vampire living with London is subject to his whim” – not to mention breaking the law by torturing and killing humans? And is Lady B tempting Tessa just a little too much with the possibility of Nate being at the party at de Quincey’s?
I think that Lady Belcourt wants the revenge maybe too much. I am doubting that maybe some of the things were not exactly true, but she wanted to be sure that shadowhunters will strike at de Quincey.
34. What was the freakiest to you about Tessa’s transformation into Lady Belcourt?
No breathing part.
35. What did Lady B mean by Tessa NOT regretting it? Pretty cryptic, that. Comments.
I have no idea. But I think that lady B is hiding something...
36. Alright, I translated the phrase: Amor Verus Numquam Moritur and it means True Love Never Dies. Do you believe Lady Belcourt’s story and motivation against de Quincey with regards to her forbidden love of a werewolf?
yeah, I believe her.
37. Are you picking up any clue from Tessa’s readings of The Shadowhunter’s Codex?
No clues. But there are useful info to better understand the world of Shadowhunters.
38. Well, Tessa’s clockwork angle necklace is back safe in her hands. Phew! Do you think Henry altered it in any way? Did his cleaning it help it to work better, somehow?
I am afraid that if Henry 'cleaned it' it will start acting strangely soon. Henry seems to have a gift to make things to backfire or make some mess/problem...
39. We learn our suspicions of Sophie’s scar were correct. Comments. I wonder who her employers were. Do you think it is relevant?
Well maybe it is relevant, because all thing we learned in the book so far seem to connect to each other...
40. What did you think of Charlotte’s comments to Tessa on love and waking up?
Seems like a good advice. That if someone loves you, it will not be important how you look. That he will accept you whole.

41. What do you think of Tessa attempts to conduct herself like a Baroness? Why do you think Tessa is unable to “touch” Lady Belcourt’s thoughts? Will she eventually be able to?
Vampire probably have more guarded minds than humans, so that's why it is harder to Tessa to 'touch' Lady B thought. But I think she will make it in time.
42. Why would Jem warn Will not to start a fight with Gabriel Lightwood? Did you expect the dislike to steam from a woman virtue? And Gabriel’s brother is worse? That Christmas party must have been a doozy. BTW, on the audio, Gabriel Lightwood has a bit of a slip (“wag” for “rags”).
I think maybe Gabriel is jelous of Will's sucess with the ladies. ;)
43. Did any other member of the Enclave stand out to you? If so, why?
Lightwoods were annoying with their constant complaining...
44. So, is the possible “clockwork army” the one that is “born neither of Heaven nor Hell”?
I think so too.
45. I thought Charlotte was much older too. Did you? Were you surprised by the unanimous vote?
I though Charlotte was in thirties... Very big surprise when they said she is only 23...
And yes unanimous vote was a surprise. I expected Lightwoods to vote against. Or demand that Gabriel goes instead of Will.
46. Do you have faith in Henry’s Phosphor invention? Will it be perfected by the date of the party? Otherwise, I’m thinking they’ll just have to use darkness as their signal. LOL!
I must admit that I do not have much fate in Henry's invention. But as you said, total darkness is as good signal as bright light. :D

#32 – If it is a disease he invented, I find it surprising that he – who is supposed to be a “ladies man” – is so cynical about someone else “getting some”. But then, maybe it is b/c of who they are getting it from.
#33 – Having read the next chapters, I would say this is very, very true.
#34 – Ah! Yes. Not breathing would be freaky.
#35 & 36 – Yes! But then this all relates back to your answer to #33. More than I thought, for sure.
#38 – Alas, yes, he does.
#39 – Good point.
#41 – I agree! Vampires are more guarded.
#42 – LOL! O.M.G. I hadn’t thought of that, but I think you’re right!
#43 – LOL! They do bicker and complain a lot.
#44 – Maybe me think of “purgatory” for those poor souls.
#45 – Yes, I expected them to demand Gabriel go.

58. Okay, what do you think of Brother Enoch? Do you think this Silent Brother will be able to help Nathaniel?
59. So, Nathaniel is not supernatural. What might Tessa be, beside “one of Lilith’s Children”? Does this rule out her being related to Nathaniel by blood? Could she be his half-sister? Was she rescued at birth, and therefore not related even to the parents who raised her (before her aunt)? What other power – rare power – could she have?
60. What a dilemma! Would you be able to leave your brother, or someone you love, to unknown care?
61. Book Quote: “Whatever you are physical,” he said, “male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy – all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. Whatever the color, the shape, the design of the shade that conceals it, the flame inside the lamp remains the same. You are that flame.” What did you think of Jem telling Tessa this?
62. Who could Cecily be?
63. Well, we have our answers about what happens when someone bites a vampire. Thank goodness for holy water.
64. What did you think of Tess & Will’s first kiss? (And he did call her Tess right before he kissed her.) What was the “that” that happened? Was she too forward? Why did he send her away?

65. It seems Thomas’s interest in Sophie is a complete surprise to her. This chapter also reveals that Sophie had a bit of an unrequited crush on Will. Or am I misinterpreting things?
66. Whoa! Jessamine has taken a fancy to the unconscious Nate. Comments.
67. What is with Will not wanting Nate treated at the Institute? Could it be that he knows where Nate goes, Tessa will surely follow?
68. Man-oh-man! Will surely is in a piss-poor mood; he has lashed out at Charlotte and Henry. Comments.
69. And then Tessa has lashed out too, hurting Charlotte! What did you think of her tirade about not having the same goals and their despising mundanes?
70. I wasn’t a bit surprised it was Jem who followed Tessa, were you? He seems to be the peacekeeper. What did you think of their discussion about Will?

I would help but I have fallen behind with my reading and I can't seem to catch up. :/

58. Okay, what do you think of Brother Enoch? Do you think this Silent Brother will be able to help Nathaniel?
I think Brother Enoch looks creepy, and maybe to the downworlders they aren't to be trusted. Though he does seem to genuinely like Tessa and wants to help her. As for helping Nate being that he is mundane they will do there best but downworlder medicine on a mundane may not be as effective.
I was surprised at this twist, being that she is the younger child i would think she is only a half sister, or it would of come out in some brother/sister argument. Unless Nate was to young to understand the appearance of a new adopted child. Be interesting to see where that line in the story leads.
I think there is more to Tessa than just shape changing as she holds no marks of a warlock yet has some magical sort of power
60. What a dilemma! Would you be able to leave your brother, or someone you love, to unknown care?
When you think about it, everytime we go to hospital we are in unknown care, or when we put our children in childcare or send them to school. So there is no reason not to trust him. It was stated that Nate was up to hallucinations so what is to say what he was saying about the silent ones is only that.
That no matter how hard she tries to deny it she can't change her destiny, it will still be the same. She is who she is and she can't do anything about it no matter what she does to run from it.
62. Who could Cecily be?
An old love or maybe his sister. As we don't know much about his past it is hard to say at the moment
63. Well, we have our answers about what happens when someone bites a vampire. Thank goodness for holy water.
not sure if i could drinks buckets of the stuff. It doesn't seem very pleasant so i can see why he got mad at Sophie.
64. What did you think of Tess & Will’s first kiss? (And he did call her Tess right before he kissed her.) What was the “that” that happened? Was she too forward? Why did he send her away?
I was hoping it would turn into something more, but no such luck at this stage. Maybe he had been trying to fight his attraction so he didn't get hurt again, or maybe because she isn't a Shadowhunter she isn't worthy of Will in Will's eyes.
I don't think Will lets people close to him as his sees his life as be born, fight and die. Love doesn't fit into the world he has.
65. It seems Thomas’s interest in Sophie is a complete surprise to her. This chapter also reveals that Sophie had a bit of an unrequited crush on Will. Or am I misinterpreting things?
I don't think Sophie can believe people will see past her scar. So she didn't think Thomas would like her. I don't think she has a crush on Will more like a sisterly attachment that she doesn't want to acknowledge.
66. Whoa! Jessamine has taken a fancy to the unconscious Nate. Comments.
Jessamine sees him as a way out to normality. She would take a liking to Brother Enoch if he gave her that escape hatch. :)
67. What is with Will not wanting Nate treated at the Institute? Could it be that he knows where Nate goes, Tessa will surely follow?
If Will has been to the Pandemonium club, maybe he know more about Nate than he is letting on. He might be seeing Nate as a spy for De Quincey.
68. Man-oh-man! Will surely is in a piss-poor mood; he has lashed out at Charlotte and Henry. Comments.
He was frustrated and venting. There doesn't seem to be any older authority in the institute so it seems to act like a house without parents sometimes.
69. And then Tessa has lashed out too, hurting Charlotte! What did you think of her tirade about not having the same goals and their despising mundanes?
I think Tessa had a point, they are so involved in downworlder/shadowhunter stuff they forget the people in the middle
70. I wasn’t a bit surprised it was Jem who followed Tessa, were you? He seems to be the peacekeeper. What did you think of their discussion about Will?
Jem has a good heart, and is sensitive to people around him, he also knows Will the best and doesn't want to see Tessa hurt. Jem seems to be the ear and shoulder everyone uses when they need too.

#58 – Oh, good point. Downworlder meds may kill him.
#59 – I was surprised too.
#60 – Very true. But the hospital staff doesn’t look so “creepy” – LOL!
#61 – Well said.
#62 – I’m figuring sister.
#64 – Good point about how he sees his life cycle. I don’t think he sees her as not worthy, but that he isn’t.
#65 – Hmmmm.
#66 – LMAO! All true. Poor Nate. He isn’t even awake! She doesn’t know him at all!
#67 – Ah! Interesting.
#68 – LOL! True.
#69 – Yes, she did have a point. Too bad she hurt Charlotte making it.
#70 – I like that interpretation of Jem. ☺

32. Whatever does Will mean by “demon pox” and why does Charlotte say there is not such thing?
34. What was the freakiest to you about Tessa’s transformation into Lady Belcourt?
35. What did Lady B mean by Tessa NOT regretting it? Pretty cryptic, that. Comments.
I wondered that myself. Maybe she knows that her brother is really alive and that they will save him. I wonder if it doesn't have something to do with the statement one of the dark sisters made in the beginning about the magister being responsible for her existence. Maybe she will find out what she is
36. Alright, I translated the phrase: Amor Verus Numquam Moritur and it means True Love Never Dies. Do you believe Lady Belcourt’s story and motivation against de Quincey with regards to her forbidden love of a werewolf?
For some reason, yes I did
37. Are you picking up any clue from Tessa’s readings of The Shadowhunter’s Codex?
No, at this point it is jibberish to me. Not to mention, she always seems ot be interrupted midreading and I get distracted not paying much attention to what it is saying
38. Well, Tessa’s clockwork angle necklace is back safe in her hands. Phew! Do you think Henry altered it in any way? Did his cleaning it help it to work better, somehow?
I hadn't really thought about that. I fell like if it were altered somehow Tessa would know. But now that you mention it, maybe that is a twist later in the book
39. We learn our suspicions of Sophie’s scar were correct. Comments. I wonder who her employers were. Do you think it is relevant?
I'm not sure that it is relevant or not. It was made to sound like some mundane who did it
40. What did you think of Charlotte’s comments to Tessa on love and waking up?
I think that it was probably exactly what Tessa needed to hear. I also think it is nice that Charlotte is acting as that motherly figure that Tessa does not have anymore and desperately needs

41. What do you think of Tessa attempts to conduct herself like a Baroness? Why do you think Tessa is unable to “touch” Lady Belcourt’s thoughts? Will she eventually be able to?
I think it might have something to do with the fact that she is a vampire making her so very different. It could also be because Lady Belcourt was aware Tessa would be able to reach her thoughts and is somehow guarding them
I suppose that is to be expected, but I wonder if that is what it is really about. It seems like there is something more. This somehow stems from Gabriel's father I think.
43. Did any other member of the Enclave stand out to you? If so, why?
Charlottes Aunt stood out to me. I suppose that was only because I thought it was strange that they did not exactly appear to be on the same side/close
44. So, is the possible “clockwork army” the one that is “born neither of Heaven nor Hell”?
That would be my guess, but I thought that as soon as we realized Miranda was a machine of some sort.
45. I thought Charlotte was much older too. Did you? Were you surprised by the unanimous vote?
Tessa kept mentioning Charlotte looking younger than she acted, but 23 is younger then I expected. I thought maybe 30's. The explanation of the unanious vote made sense to me.
46. Do you have faith in Henry’s Phosphor invention? Will it be perfected by the date of the party? Otherwise, I’m thinking they’ll just have to use darkness as their signal. LOL!
I'm thinking it will either do what it is supposed to or, what it does will some how be to their benefit.

The tension was so high and something was constantly happening, that I realized I have over-read when I saw header 'Chapter 18'. :D
I will skip some questions that are solely based on guessing what will happen next, because I already know.
My Answers:
Questions for Chapter 10.
47. Was Will calling Tessa by Tess a way of calming her down, or was it more than that?
More than that. (I hope so.) I don't know why, but I like Will more, so I am hoping Tessa will end-up with him at the end.
48. How educated is Will, he comes across as a jock, but then he goes quoting from A Tale of Two Cities.
Like he makes fun of everything, he makes fun of himself and his education. I am not sure if he reads because he likes it, or just like an advantage. I think that Will likes to have an an upper hand.
49. So you do you think Will saw Tessa or Camille in the carriage?
Tessa. I did not get any hints that he liked Camille at all.
50. What caused the sadness that Tessa sees in Wills eyes, even when he smiles.
I don't know. Still can not figure out what is bothering him...
Questions for Chapter 11
52. Did you expect that the Phosphor would work the way it did or like me you were expecting temporarily blinded vampires.
I expected temporarily blinded vampires. In the end, it did not blind them, but it still did not work as intended. :D
53. What i don't understand is through the whole battle with the Vampires, Tessa didn't drop her shift of Camille. I would of thought that would be the first she would do when she ran to her brother.
I did not understand that too. Especially when she could easily burn like a vampire...
Lisa Kay’s Questions for Chapter 12
58. Okay, what do you think of Brother Enoch? Do you think this Silent Brother will be able to help Nathaniel?
I don't know why I they all so scared of him. He is obviously on the side of good. I am kinda sorry of the Silent Brother. I wonder how you become one...
I have no idea - as answer to all of your questions. :D
I think that Nate and Tessa are half-siblings. Probably different father. And as for her other abilities... I don't know, but I think it is related to the fact why Magister wanted her so much...
60. What a dilemma! Would you be able to leave your brother, or someone you love, to unknown care?
If I had something very important to do, and I knew they were taken care of, probably.
Nice quote. I think that Jem thought of himself (and of Tessa of course) when he said this.
62. Who could Cecily be?
Gabriel Lightwood's sister? LOL
63. Well, we have our answers about what happens when someone bites a vampire. Thank goodness for holy water.
Yeah, I was surprised, I always thought that vampires need to participate for you to be turned. That you don't only have to bite them...
64. What did you think of Tess & Will’s first kiss? (And he did call her Tess right before he kissed her.) What was the “that” that happened? Was she too forward? Why did he send her away?
Kiss was sweet but short. He sent her away probably because Will likes to keep everybody at distance. I don't know why. Maybe because he is afraid that he will hurt them... But how? No idea...
Lisa Kay’s Questions for Chapter 13
66. Whoa! Jessamine has taken a fancy to the unconscious Nate. Comments.
jessamine is funny to me in her desperation to get out of there. If this mad scheme of her fails, I wonder whom she will pick next to rescue her from Shadowhunter world. :D
67. What is with Will not wanting Nate treated at the Institute? Could it be that he knows where Nate goes, Tessa will surely follow?
I did not think of that, but it sound possible.
68. Man-oh-man! Will surely is in a piss-poor mood; he has lashed out at Charlotte and Henry. Comments.
well I would not be in a good mood too, if I had to drink gallons of holly water and threw up all night.
69. And then Tessa has lashed out too, hurting Charlotte! What did you think of her tirade about not having the same goals and their despising mundanes?
I think that she does not mean that really, that she said those things only in anger. Probably she is pissed at Will for ignoring their kiss...
70. I wasn’t a bit surprised it was Jem who followed Tessa, were you? He seems to be the peacekeeper. What did you think of their discussion about Will?
I was surprised, I did not expect that anyone would follow her. I hope that Jem is just peace-keeping, that he is not starting to fall in love with Tessa also. I am not a fan of love-triangles in books...

#35 – Ah! I had forgotten that the Dark Sisters said that. Hmmmm. Now you’ve got me thinking. LOL!
#37 – I feel the same way! All gibberish and interrupted too many times, LOL!
#40 – I agree.
#42 – I think you could be right.
#44 – Ah! Clever you!

#48 – Oh, yes. Will likes to have the upper hand. Well put.
#53 – Exactly!
#58 – LOL! Okay, Dragana! ☺
#59 – Oh, there you go, making me think again. I hadn’t thought about her ‘other abilities’ and the Magister wanting her. Hmmm.
#62 – Ah! LOL!
#63 – I thought that too.
#64 – He does like to keep everyone at a distance.
#66 – LOL!
#68 – LMAO! Yes, I’d forgotten that. Good point.
#69 – Oh, yes. That and I think she has her own conflicting emotions.
#70 – I’m not of fan of the ♥△ either.

Enjoy. :)
(view spoiler) ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

71. Tessa asks Jem some excellent questions about Will and his “fake” drunkenness. She gains some insight into his history. What did you think of it? In your heart, did Will’s parents have any rights? What could have happened for Will to purposefully leave them? Jem tells her, “I’d imagine it’s precisely BECAUSE I’ve never asked him why.” I think this is a very telling statement of why Jem & Will’s relationship is so long-standing. What do you gleam about both of them from it?
72. We learn about Jem’s background also; that his parents were killed by a demon named Yanluo. Do you think Jem killed Yanluo? What else was he keeping secret from Tessa? Is he keeping it secret from the others too? Do you think it has something to do with his illness? Just a thought: maybe Jem won’t be cured until Yanluo is dead?
73. The coachman returns. How did that happen? Is he a replication or just the same “automaton” – only repaired? He delivers a message of war. And the Magister wants Tessa now! Eek! Man-oh-man! The Institute’s doors didn’t open fast enough for me. I just knew something bad was going to happen when Jem and Tessa went out.
74. What did you make of Tessa feeling something was “strange, different”? BTW, do you think Will is going to be even angrier with Tessa? Will this give him a reason to push her further away?
75. Not a lot of questions for this chapter – as it was action-packed. Did you like the way the action was written?

I can help if you want. :)

My favorite is black and white one...

That would be great, Dragana! Do as many chapters as you want. ☺ I know you read ahead.

I like that one for many reasons, Dragana, but I love that it has the eye on his hand correct.
I think I like them all equally. So many talented artists! So many interpretations of the same characters.

I feel like we learnt on insight on the sadness behind Will, I think as much as he wants to be a shadowhunter, he didn't want to give up his family. In a house of orphans it must be hard knowing you actually have a family that love you, but you can't have any contact with them. It does in a way explain why Will keeps everyone at a distance, as he may be afraid to lose more people he cares about.
We had learnt earlier that Will took to Jem as he was also a shadowhunter, maybe because Jem is smart enough not to push he is allowed in Wills little bubble. But he also knows Jem won't be around forever and that enforces his sadness that people just leave.
I don't think Jem killed Yanluo, as i'm sure they said the demon wasn't there when the shadowhunters arrived. I think everyone knows in the institute now, as Jem also said he told the others to stop looking. The only person who may not know is Jessamine. I've read the next chapter so i know the answer regarding his illness. I don't think there is a cure, as they would of found one by now if there was. As i think they are still silently looking just not telling Jem
The coachman had disappeared when Will and the others had got there, so i think he went to report to De Quincey. I was silently hoping that Tessa found she could open the doors just to add another twist to her past and powers. I'm guessing they sent the coachman though as he would be the one Tessa recognized.
74. What did you make of Tessa feeling something was “strange, different”? BTW, do you think Will is going to be even angrier with Tessa? Will this give him a reason to push her further away?
I don't think Will be angrier, i think he wants to trust Tessa but as he is afraid she will leave he doesn't know if he should.
75. Not a lot of questions for this chapter – as it was action-packed. Did you like the way the action was written?
I did enjoy the fight scene as it wasn't overly described to the point you couldn't visualize it yourself.

#71 – Great insight, Kylie!
#72 – Ah!
#73 – That would have been an interesting twist. It never entered my mind that she would be able to open them.
#74 – Those darn abandonment issues – always keeping people at a distance.
#75 – ☺

47. Was Will calling Tessa by Tess a way of calming her down, or was it more than that?
I think that people naturally start to shorten others names ones the feel comfortable with them
48. How educated is Will, he comes across as a jock, but then he goes quoting from A Tale of Two Cities.
I think that Will is very educated. He just likes to joke around, maybe it is some sort of insecurity that he is hiding
49. So you do you think Will saw Tessa or Camille in the carriage?
I think he saw Tessa. He wouldn't have used her name if he saw osmeone eles
50. What caused the sadness that Tessa sees in Wills eyes, even when he smiles.
I think that there is something from Will's past that we don't know about
51. Will they get Nataniel out alive? What did he do that was such a grievous crime to be drank to death.
I've read 11 so I know, but I thought they'd get him out alive. I assume it probably has something to do with Tessa
Questions for Chapter 11
52. Did you expect that the Phosphor would work the way it did or like me you were expecting temporarily blinded vampires.
I didn't know what was going to happen, but I didn't expect it to work
53. What i don't understand is through the whole battle with the Vampires, Tessa didn't drop her shift of Camille. I would of thought that would be the first she would do when she ran to her brother.
I didn't really understand that either. I guess maybe the story needed her to remain Camille
54. Why is it a bad thing to bite a vampire? I know his blood burnt Tessa, is it even more lethal to a Nephilim.
Maybe that is what is wrong with Jem
55. Will Nate survive or will he turn into a vampire? I wonder what else they have done to Nate.
I think he will survive, but it certainly would be an intersting twist if he turns into a vampire
56. Wonder how they treat shadow hunters who consume vampire blood.
I guess with runes as they do with any of their other injuries
57. What will happen now that De Quincey escaped. Will Charlotte be blamed or will a war start with the night children.
I think that a war will definitely start. He could just attack them as individuals though

That would be great, Dragana! Do as many chapters as you want. ☺ I know you read ahead."
Ok. Here are questions for chapter 15, and I will do another chapter later at work if I have time. :)

76. Am I the only one with the impression that Will was not happy because Jem wanted to talk to Tessa? Jealous maybe? Or protective of Jem?
77. So now we know what is Jem's 'illness'. Do you think he gave up looking for a cure? Would you ever stop?
Other thoughts/comments about Jem's story?
78. And now we know who is Sophie's secret crush. Poor Thomas. :(
I think that Jem is not even aware that she is in love with him. Do you? Do you think that Sophie has any chance?
79. Scene with Nate asleep in bed and Jessamine beside was so cute to me. Did you expect this kind of dedication from her?
80. And the final chapter scene... Nate is missing. What do you think what happened? Did he leave by himself or someone took him away?

76. Am I the only one with the impression that Will was not happy because Jem wanted to talk to Tessa? Jealous maybe? Or protective of Jem?
I agree he didn't seem happy, but i think he was being over protective of Jem
77. So now we know what is Jem's 'illness'. Do you think he gave up looking for a cure? Would you ever stop?
Other thoughts/comments about Jem's story?
I think he has stopped but i doubt Will and the others have. I personally wouldn't but i figure when your in a job that could kill you every day, his illness is maybe bottom of the list.
78. And now we know who is Sophie's secret crush. Poor Thomas. :(
I think that Jem is not even aware that she is in love with him. Do you? Do you think that Sophie has any chance?
I don't think Jem knows, but then Sophie didn't know about Thomas. I doubt she has much chance though as Jem sees himself as a ticking time-bomb
79. Scene with Nate asleep in bed and Jessamine beside was so cute to me. Did you expect this kind of dedication from her?
I didn't expect her to still be there considering she doesn't know Nate
80. And the final chapter scene... Nate is missing. What do you think what happened? Did he leave by himself or someone took him away?
The twist surprised me, I hope Tessa doesn't blame Jessa for allowing it to happen. With all the wards he must of left by himself. A side effect of being with the Night Children maybe he had a bond to them.

#47 – True.
#48 – Yes, definitely insecurity.
#50 – Yes. Really ready to know what it is, too.
#51 – Ah! You were more optimistic than I was.
#52 – And here more pessimistic, LOL!
#53 – **shrugs** Maybe she learned from this experience and will be more aware in the future.
#54 – Maybe.
#55 – LMAO! It certainly would!
#57 – Huh. Might be a more effective battle strategy.

That would be great, Dragana! Thanks so much. ☺

(view spoiler)
Will looks so harsh on the first photo. I imagined him completely different.
And second picture of Jam. I'm usually not into blondes - but he looks cute. :)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

81. Tessa still not changed. I don't know about you, but no matter what I could not stay in those filthy things all night...
82. Ok, so Nate is found. Do you find anything about this situation weird?
83. Do you approve of Tessa and her aunt protecting Nate? Do you think he is innocent, spoiled or something else?
84. Will & Tessa have a private conversation in a corridor. But nothing is resolved, did you expect that Will would say/do something different?
85. I got to quote Will from his and Tessa's conversation: “And I think that you do not understand that sometimes the only choice is between acceptance and madness.” Does he mean about Jemm's situation or about himself when he says this? What do you think?
86. What do you think about Nates story why he came to London, how he started working for Mortmain etc.
Whole truth or did he skip/change anything?
87. Full moon tonight... They must stop Magister before it is too late and his army is complete.
Will Clave approve attack? Did Nate gave correct information? Will they use Tessa again as distraction? What do you think?

Lisa Kay’s Questions for Chapter 12
58. Okay, what do you think of Brother Enoch? Do you think this Silent Brother will be able to help Nathaniel?
I like Brother Enoch. I am guessing that he will be able to heal Nathaniel
While I was reading I was thinking maybe she is his half sister. Maybe some type of special breeding. I imagine her parents death have something to do with who she is
60. What a dilemma! Would you be able to leave your brother, or someone you love, to unknown care?
If they were truly caring for them, then yes. These people have no reason to care for him, so why bother if their intentions aren't good
I thought it was appropriate. I think he was essentially telling her not to be afraid of who she truly is.
62. Who could Cecily be?
I'll have to look back, I don't even remember that name being mentioned
63. Well, we have our answers about what happens when someone bites a vampire. Thank goodness for holy water.
sounds painful though
64. What did you think of Tess & Will’s first kiss? (And he did call her Tess right before he kissed her.) What was the “that” that happened? Was she too forward? Why did he send her away?
To be honest, I felt the whole scene was kind of forced. It just came out of no where. They are both such witty people, I would have expected a little better dialogue and build up. I'm not sure why he sent her away. There is still something about him that we do not know
Lisa Kay’s Questions for Chapter 13
65. It seems Thomas’s interest in Sophie is a complete surprise to her. This chapter also reveals that Sophie had a bit of an unrequited crush on Will. Or am I misinterpreting things?
I was unclear about that myself. At first I thought it was hinting about her having a crush/fall out with him, but then she warned her instead. I almost wonder if maybe she knows about him whatever it is that we don't know that caused him to push her away.
66. Whoa! Jessamine has taken a fancy to the unconscious Nate. Comments.
For some reason I thought that might happen. I guess maybe because she is the only woman not paired with someone
67. What is with Will not wanting Nate treated at the Institute? Could it be that he knows where Nate goes, Tessa will surely follow?
He might be intentionally trying to make Tessa angry, so that she will stay away from him
68. Man-oh-man! Will surely is in a piss-poor mood; he has lashed out at Charlotte and Henry. Comments.
I think Will uses anger to cover up his fear
69. And then Tessa has lashed out too, hurting Charlotte! What did you think of her tirade about not having the same goals and their despising mundanes?
I think her comments were appropriate and true, it needed to be said
70. I wasn’t a bit surprised it was Jem who followed Tessa, were you? He seems to be the peacekeeper. What did you think of their discussion about Will?
I wasn't surprised at all. I really like Jem. I think he is a great friend to both of them. It worries me that he is the one to be hurt in this still brewing love triangle.

I think that Will ran because of his parents, he was afraid of them for some reason. Maybe they weren't really his parents, but people pretending to be them. I think that is exactly why Jem is so likable. He accepts people for who they are. He doesn't really care about the little things, but what kind of person they
I've already read the answer to this, but yes I assumed this demon had something to do with his illness
I assumed it was the same coachman, just repaired. I know, I thought for sure Jem was going to die. There was also a part of me that thought she would be able to open the door
74. What did you make of Tessa feeling something was “strange, different”? BTW, do you think Will is going to be even angrier with Tessa? Will this give him a reason to push her further away?
75. Not a lot of questions for this chapter – as it was action-packed. Did you like the way the action was written?
I did, I couldn't put it down. I meant to answer questions in between these three chapter. Obviously that didn't happen.
Dragana's Questions for Chapter 15
76. Am I the only one with the impression that Will was not happy because Jem wanted to talk to Tessa? Jealous maybe? Or protective of Jem?
Couldn't decide who he was jealous of. At first I thought he didn't want Tessa to like Jem. Later I decided that he was jealous of Jem confiding in someone else. I think Jem is Will's only friend
77. So now we know what is Jem's 'illness'. Do you think he gave up looking for a cure? Would you ever stop?
Other thoughts/comments about Jem's story?
I think after exhausting all resources I would give up also. Who wants to spend the rest of their life obsessed with finding some nonexistent cure. I wondered about the drug though. Is it painful and does he hallucinate when he takes it like he did when the demon gave it to him
78. And now we know who is Sophie's secret crush. Poor Thomas. :(
I think that Jem is not even aware that she is in love with him. Do you? Do you think that Sophie has any chance?
I think that Sophie and Jem would be a perfect match. I think she would have a chance, he would just never think someone would think of him like that
79. Scene with Nate asleep in bed and Jessamine beside was so cute to me. Did you expect this kind of dedication from her?
I would expect it. She is quite stubborn and persistent once she sets her mind to something
80. And the final chapter scene... Nate is missing. What do you think what happened? Did he leave by himself or someone took him away?
again I know the answer, but at the time I assumed he was scared and ran away not knowing where he was.
Dragana's Questions for Chapter 16
81. Tessa still not changed. I don't know about you, but no matter what I could not stay in those filthy things all night...
Maybe that is why she is so stressed out. There are no words for what a nice bath or shower can do for your stress level.
82. Ok, so Nate is found. Do you find anything about this situation weird?
I didn't really understand why he was hiding behind the curtains at first. It made his sound almost like a child at first.
83. Do you approve of Tessa and her aunt protecting Nate? Do you think he is innocent, spoiled or something else?
Not at all. He seems like a very shady person. He was actually planning to steal his dead mothers jewelry to pawn. I don't trust him at all. I hope they don't put themselves in a position where they have to depend on him anytime in the near future.
84. Will & Tessa have a private conversation in a corridor. But nothing is resolved, did you expect that Will would say/do something different?
No, but I wonder if he is secretly looking for a cure and not telling Tessa. for all we know that is what he is doing at night when he is pretending to be out drinking
85. I got to quote Will from his and Tessa's conversation: “And I think that you do not understand that sometimes the only choice is between acceptance and madness.” Does he mean about Jemm's situation or about himself when he says this? What do you think?
probably a little bit of both. I think he might have been referring to everyone in the household
86. What do you think about Nates story why he came to London, how he started working for Mortmain etc.
Whole truth or did he skip/change anything?
again I don't trust a word that comes out of his mouth. He seemed to be telling the truth while he was talking, but I wouldn't put it past him to leave out important details
87. Full moon tonight... They must stop Magister before it is too late and his army is complete.
Will Clave approve attack? Did Nate gave correct information? Will they use Tessa again as distraction? What do you think?
I'm not sure what their plan will be, but I predict they will not make it in time. Ultimately this little army will be created, room for the next book

Chapters 16-17. I'm behind by one chapter (15). I am trying to catch up on two challenges b/f the end of February.

81. Tessa still not changed. I don't know about you, but no matter what I could not stay in those filthy things all night...
I agree, even i didn't get a chance to shower I'd at least change my clothes.
82. Ok, so Nate is found. Do you find anything about this situation weird?
I found it odd that he was hiding in the curtains screaming like a girl. It isn't very manly.
83. Do you approve of Tessa and her aunt protecting Nate? Do you think he is innocent, spoiled or something else?
I don't think they should of protected him, he is who he is and needs to learn to stand on his own feet.
84. Will & Tessa have a private conversation in a corridor. But nothing is resolved, did you expect that Will would say/do something different?
I was hoping he would explain more why he pushed her away, in the end it felt like a wasted paragraph in the book as nothing happened.
85. I got to quote Will from his and Tessa's conversation: “And I think that you do not understand that sometimes the only choice is between acceptance and madness.” Does he mean about Jemm's situation or about himself when he says this? What do you think?
I agree with him, you can either accept your fate or go mad trying to change something that can't be changed. Though in Jems case i would still be looking even if only on the side. I think he was talking about both him and Jem
I passed on the last two questions as i finished the book last night, got so involved in the story i forgot to stop. :)

Will looks so harsh on the first photo. I imagined him completely different.
And second picture of Jam. I'm usually not into blondes - but he looks cute. :)"
Why did they have to make Jem look like Bieber. :( I agree that Will looks to harsh in the first pic though.

76. Am I the only one with the impression that Will was not happy because Jem wanted to talk to Tessa? Jealous maybe? Or protective of Jem?
I think Will is jealous of Jem, but he is also jealous of Jem’s for Tessa affection, I think.
77. So now we know what is Jem's 'illness'. Do you think he gave up looking for a cure? Would you ever stop? Other thoughts/comments about Jem's story?
He is so young that it is hard to accept him giving up. I can understand an older person doing that. I really doubt that Will has given up. **shrugs** But maybe. Sounds that way from his comment, but. . . The box with Kwan Yin, the goddess of mercy & compassion, on the box was a nice touch.
78. And now we know who is Sophie's secret crush. Poor Thomas. :( I think that Jem is not even aware that she is in love with him. Do you? Do you think that Sophie has any chance?
I was so surprised! Just as surprised as Tessa. ☺ I think Jim is definitely not aware of her crush. I don’t think she stands much of a chance. I don’t believe he would allow anything to develop b/c of his illness.
79. Scene with Nate asleep in bed and Jessamine beside was so cute to me. Did you expect this kind of dedication from her?
No. She sure is focused on – and dedicated to – her pursuit, LOL!
80. And the final chapter scene... Nate is missing. What do you think what happened? Did he leave by himself or someone took him away?
I thought he had flown the coop. I figured that or he was somehow called back to de Quincey. Still pretty suspicious over that opened window.
81. Tessa still not changed. I don't know about you, but no matter what I could not stay in those filthy things all night...
I KNOW! I couldn’t believe that. Ugh.
82. Ok, so Nate is found. Do you find anything about this situation weird?
Yes. I didn’t like the opened window. I didn’t like that he wasn’t happy to be in the Institute, nor trust the Shadowhunters, the despite what had been done to him. I also didn’t like that Tessa was telling him about the Pyxis.
83. Do you approve of Tessa and her aunt protecting Nate? Do you think he is innocent, spoiled or something else?
I think they created an environment in which his weakness could be cultivated. I think he is spoiled.
84. Will & Tessa have a private conversation in a corridor. But nothing is resolved; did you expect that Will would say/do something different?
I wasn’t expecting Will to bring up the kissing. I thought he knew she was going to tell him to back off her brother and he was going to tell her, “No.” So, yes, that surprised me. Yet, I’m not sure nothing was resolved. Certainly they are taking the first step toward getting to know one another, her telling him she wouldn’t shun Jem. An important, if small step, after an intimacy.
85. I got to quote Will from his and Tessa's conversation: “And I think that you do not understand that sometimes the only choice is between acceptance and madness.” Does he mean about Jem's situation or about himself when he says this? What do you think?
I don’t know. Pretty creptic!
86. What do you think about Nate’s story why he came to London, how he started working for Mortmain etc. Whole truth or did he skip/change anything?
Pathetic. Yes, I think he skipped something. What? I don’t know, LOL!
87. Full moon tonight... They must stop Magister before it is too late and his army is complete. Will the Clave approve the attack? Did Nate give correct information? Will they use Tessa again as distraction? What do you think?
Goodness. I would think the army must be pretty much completed. I hope the Clave approves the attack! Hmmmm… I don’t know if they’ll risk Tessa.
Great DQs, Dragana!

88. Do you believe Nate show them the right house in Chelsea?
89. What do you think of Benedict Lightwood’s edict that Jem and Will are to young? (Drat! I thought they would be then if someone should come for Tessa at the Institute, but now they are gone too.) Why was Nate so surprised by this announcement? Or am I reading too much into it?
90. Jessamine wants to play cards? What a poor choice for an addict, because never doubt that is what Nate is. Do you agree?
91. Did Will mean anything else when he told Tessa it would soon “all be settled,” right after she said she wanted to go home to New York?
92. Were you suspicious of Mortmain showing up? Think he was really giving information, or seeking some?
93. Drat! Supposedly both of the Dark Sisters are alive. That can’t be good. Comments. Who will be able to do something about the binding spell? Charlotte, Henry, Tessa, Will?
94. Do you think Will saw Jem kiss Tessa’s hand? Did Sophie? Are they making assumptions? Are you?
95. I knew Jem’s blood was going to allow that automaton into the Institute’s doors, did you? Poor Agatha. Comments.
96. Eek! I wasn’t expecting Mrs. Dark to be carrying her sister. Nor her cryptic denouncement of de Quincey. Comments.

#58 – You are not alone; Kylie likes him too. He’s too scary for me. But then, I’m a wuss. ☺
#59 – Ditto on the half-sister. Don’t know about her parents deaths.
#64 – I agree about there being something we don’t know about him. Something important.
#66 – Ah! You like even numbers. ☺
#67 – I agree.
#68 – Good insight.
#70 – Is it a love triangle? I’m still not sure.
#71 – Yes. Good insight into Jem.
#73 – I was think Jem might die too. Never thought she’d be able to open the door. Unless her necklace worked on it, but I only briefly thought that b/c someone mentioned it looked like a “key” in one of these posts.
#75 – LOL! Nope, it didn’t. ☺
#76 – Yes, I think he is a bit “jealous of Jem confiding in someone else”! Exactly.
#80 – At the time, I thought he was scared too. Except I couldn’t figure out that opened window.
#81 – Really!
#83 – Good insight.
#84 – Yeah, I think Will’s looking for a cure. Maybe part of his reason he is so angry with Henry. Not that he practices in the same area. Still.
#87 – Ah! So the story goes on.

97. Did the identity of the Magister astound you?
98. Did the title of the chapter give you any clue as to Nate’s betrayal? I must admit I was suspicious, but I didn’t expect his utter “devotion.” And let’s not forget the vanity! I thought maybe it was going to be fear that was the motivating factor. You?
99. On a scale of 0-10, with 10 being the best, how cool was the little metal angel? But where and why did it vanish?
100. Okay, what is with the cat in the cage? I guess it has something to do with necromancy and not a binding spell. Comments?
101. Finally, an explanation as to why a villain stops to explain the other side’s plans. That always bugs me in books, but here Mrs. Dark reason makes sense. Thoughts.
102. I must admit that I thought Nate was letting something into the Institute, not getting a message out. How about you?
103. Good for Jessamine! No questions here, just three cheers. Comments.
104. Will goes off alone! That was a surprise to me. Comments.

#26 – Ah! So you think Will’s bravado is all a “front”."
Yeah. I think that it is his way of keeping people on the distance....
