Dumb question here - do we have to complete all tasks? Or can we just pick the ones we want? I'm asking because I'm not a fast/daily reader, so it might take me some time completing all the tasks. LOL Thanks and happy reading. :)
Not a dumb question at all! But no, you don't have to complete all the tasks. I have them all listed, but I've only put the requirements next to the ones that I want to finish :) Just finish the ones you want!

:) Thanks Zakiya. Seriously, that's what I thought - but I just wanted to make sure. Meghan, hope you got a spot saved. :) Thanks again ladies. Take care.
Haha Deb!!!! I think I just barely got that spot saved.... phew! :) I am excited to see what I can get.
Way to go, Meghan. LOL I'm excited to see what I can get through as well. Guess I should start posting my list, eh? LOL Good luck. :)
Same here ladies. Good luck to you two!I'm not sure what I'm going to do about posting my list this time... I want to plan, but sometimes it seems like it only makes me remember how behind I am. I think I'll just go ahead and start it now, lol :)
So I have a question: Do you all just post the books where ever they can give the most points, or do you kind of plan them out? Also, do you pick certain tasks that you just really want to complete? Whether it be because of the content that you have to read, etc. Because I, as you can see, have put the content requirements next to the task numbers that I really want to complete for the challenge.
I'm just wondering about all of this, of course. No pressure or anything! :D
Zakiya wrote: "So I have a question: Do you all just post the books where ever they can give the most points, or do you kind of plan them out?"I plan my books out before hand but will admit to changing them around at times if I can't read all the books for a specific task e.g. I was reading books to speel out MARCH but was stuck on M and R so slotted the books I had read for A, C and H into the 35 point tasks (as they did fit.)

When I read the tasks I come up with ideas for books. I will then read the books that interest me most first then try to tackle the others later.
This time most of the books on the "1001 books to read before you die" list didn't interest me much so i scraped that idea and focused on the other tasks.
I have been trying to plan out some of my reads here and tweak stuff around for maximum points, but I am beginning to see it's hard because I don't necessarily know what I will be reading in coming months. This leaves me with decisions like, do I use a book early and go for a quick 10 or 15 points or hold it back and try to slot it in later for 35 or 50?I do know there's some categories I just won't be attempting at all because I would not do well in them. Will just have to see how it goes I guess.
Good luck, Tatum! The rest of us have to deal with decisions like that, too. At least I do anyway. I try to put them where they will allow the most points, no matter how long it might take me to finish the task.

If you look at mine from Sept-Feb you will see that there are plenty of tasks that I am only one book away...
