John | 2 comments Thing is, im in 9th grade and in 4th I read a book that really gave me the creeps.
It was about a boy whose father died and his mother was the secretary of an Egyptologist. This guy invites his secratary and her son to live with him and despite of the kids disapproval the mother accepts the offer.strange things start to happen and in the end the kids finds something in the basement (I cant remember what it is).
About the details, I remember that it was in a creepy mansion and the kids room was in a tower that had a big window without a glass that was really low so the kid was really afraid of falling. I also remember that there was an archway with a secret message. Last, the book and Im not sure but I think the title also had to do with Anubis.
Please help me cause I really want to read this book again.

Rebecca (liralin) | 198 comments I'm so glad this was your book! I remember reading this first when I was about the same age, and it totally creeped me out. Stuck with me for a long time, and had to track it down for myself several years ago. :)
