Antonomasia | 514 comments Hey,

Not sure if this is something the site format can handle, but I want to put my Old English Beowulf http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/69... as unread, but the modern Seamus Heaney translation as read: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/21...

Is there any way round this?

If nothing else it has made me wonder why I don't feel like I've read Beowulf properly by not ploughing through the OE with glossary, whereas I do consider that I've properly read novels translated into English from modern foreign languages.

Paula (paulaan) | 7014 comments You can shelve as many editions of a book as you want on different shelves with different reviews.

Select the edition you want assign it to the shelves you want, then select the next edition and add to the shelves you want that on

Edit: The Help page: http://www.goodreads.com/help/show/71...

Antonomasia | 514 comments Brilliant, thanks.

That will also help with the ridiculous three different editions of The Hound of the Baskervilles I find I've accumulated.
