Eugenia (Genie In A Book) (genie-inabook) | 22 comments I would have to say A Waltz for Matilda by Jackie French. This book is historical but don't be fooled - the storyline has you hooked from the very beginning! There are twists and turns along the way, times when you will smile, some where you will cry and those 'lightbulb' moments when you realise the connections between the characters. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who may not be too sure about this genre or wants a look into Australian historical fiction.
Jackie French is indeed a fantastic author !

PS. If you like this book, there is another similar one introduced recently called 'The Girl From Snowy River' by the same author - I can't wait to start it!

Rynn (megatorchic) | 2 comments The Legend series by Marie Lu.
Despite being from a cliche genre, it twists it all around into a moving novel. Characters are very intriguing. Overall a great series.
