Erudite Reader's Must Read Books:
Well, I aboslutely adore The Hunger Games! It was amazing! I also really liked The Maze Runner by James Dashner, he is a great writer, too. But, of course I loved Divergent and Insurgent, but judging by the title of this group, I'm assuming you have read at least one of those books already. Another book that I really liked was The Outsiders. It's a classic! Those are really all the books that I can think of that I really, really LOVED. Any suggestions for books that are like Divergent or The Hunger Games? Or even books that people who read and liked The Hunger Games and Divergent thought were good books.
Okay since I absolutely loved every single book you mentioned I suggest
! We have read Insurgent and Divergent and also the Hunger Games. I also recommend City of Bones, and

I was on the fence with Ender's game. It wasn't good but it wasn't bad.

I read those during freshman year, and your absolutely right about them being heart-breaking, but they were still really amazing books.
Scott wrote: "I thought the 5th was good but the 4th was better!"I finished the fifth a few days ago.....I hated the ending, and by that I mean it was another cliff-hanger that really left me wanting for the 6th book, unfortunately that won't be out for awhile. Out of sheer curiosity, why'd you like the 4th more than the 5th?

I heard about them a while ago but I'm not sure if they would be too tragic to read as they're set in a place where feminist/democratic activists, aid workers and other innocent citizens are still being regularly murdered.
I read them a few years ago without having a clue what they about. They were both heart-breaking but I think I had a harder time with A Thousand Splendid Suns. Not sure why. I still think everyone should give them a try (:

I don't know. I felt that the 5th was too long and I hated and loved the cliffhanger! Also I hated how there was way too much romance!

I am going to recommend
. I am a sucker for really good romance books and stories, especially tragic love stories, but I am kind of picky with them. This is one I adore! It made me laugh, and cry, and go aww. I am watching the movie right now and I swear I am about to cry my eyes out :((the book is better)

Forgive my fins is a really cute light book about mermiads that is perfect to read at the beach!

I never heard of A Thousand Splendid Suns, but I did try to read The Kite Runner. For some reason I simply couldn't get into it. I kept trying to read it but it turned into one of the few books I couldn't finish.

Not many people like The Kite Runner. I loved it but, for me, A Thousand Splendid Suns was way better.

Lolita is simply the wittiest, saddest, most tragic, most playful book you could read. It dares to handle a hot topic with utter coolness. To think an author could even imagine he could pull off this achievement is astonishing.
Uglies is definitely one of my favourite books/series. It's very much like Divergent, since it takes place in the future, in a dystopian world. I recomend it to anyone who likes sci-fi with a touch of romance (:Uglies
