Hi Barbara,

To include a link for a book or author click the 'add book/author' link above the comment box. An 'Add a reference' window appears!

Select the Book tab and search by book title. Click the 'add' button to add a book as either a link or cover (just choose the option you want)!

Select the Author tab (you may search by author) and click 'add' insert the author as a link.

I hope this helps.

Andrew

message 7: by Kim (new)

Kim (str8kim) @Barbara, click edit for your booklist, then at the top of the text box this is a link that says add book/author. Then you just type in the name of the book and once it comes up add it. Sometimes you have to type the name of the book and author to find it. The code for the book cover will then show up at the very bottom of your post, just copy it, and past it next to the authors name.

The code for each book will look something like this
A. Antoinette, Ashley - [ bookcover:Guilty Gucci|11754805 ]

*there are no spaces between the first bracket and the last. I just put it there so the actual book cover won't appear so you can see the code.

Andrew | 27 comments The challenge has been enjoyable, rewarding and educational. Not only have I read books on subjects I would not have otherwise considered, I have also become aware of a few writers and authors I had not heard of before.

Thank you for running the 2012 African American Books A to Z. I hope other readers have gotten as much enjoyment from it as I have.

Thank you again Barbara and Sidni

Kind regards
Andrew

message 22: by Barbara (new)

Barbara Thank you for participating. I had gotten so busy helping with putting on the BWABC festival. Black Writers and Book Club Club festival in Memphis, I neglected the group. I'm sorry.

Thank you to all that stay and kept the group going?

Thank you Sidni for all your help. Sidni, would you like to carry it on for the next year or would anyone else like to be the leader of it

message 23: by Barbara (new)

Barbara Sidni will be taking over for 2013 book reading. I will continue to post free books, will do much better than this year on my list also.

The Black Writers and Book Club Club festival in Memphis was very good. We had over 30 authors from across the US, lots of book clubs and readers came out to support. We were able to give out prizes (kindles, baskets of books) and each person received a bag when they arrive. The event is free. Money we raised from authors and vendors table went to the HBC Lemonye Owens college Library

Natasha (ahsatan82) | 288 comments @Barbara, that sounds like an awesome event! I wish we had an event like that here in Pittsburgh. Guess I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for one that may even be within a 4 hour radius of me (day trip lol).
