Do you plan on reading the other 2 books?

I was wandering if anyone was planning on reading the other 2 books? Or of you already did? I didn't realize it was a trilogy when I read this book and now I am really thinking of reading the other 2!

I actually enjoyed the first novel and decided to start the second one. Unfortunately, I got buried under school work and I had to stop somewhere at the middle. But from what I've read, it seemed truly interesting and as well-written as "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". So, if you enjoyed the first one, I recommend advancing through the trilogy. :)

I read all three and I started before they were popular. I read the first two and then when I saw the third one when it was just released, I was so enthused that I had to get it immediately. You should definitely get the other two because I think they were even more better that the first. You get to learn more about Lisbeth Salander and her history and even more action than the first. I highly recommend them. Couldn't put them down!

I read them already, and i love them. When I finished the first one, I rushed to the bookstore to get the other two. I must say that i enjoyed the first two more than the third.

Bleh. I don't get why everyone loves this book/series/movie. Why you would want to read more of the series is beyond me. Btw the 3rd one is The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.

I read the first book and said, "Well, I'm done." Then I saw the movie this weekend and got curious, so I went online and read plot spoilers for the next two. They seem to deal primarily with the Lisbeth mythology without having any procedural crime-solving, and the only thing I really liked about Dragon Tattoo was the Vanger mystery. So, I definitely won't read them.

Read the first one and it took me a while to get into it, but eventually I did and thought it was okay. I have book #2 on my to read list. I also saw the movie and now I am curious about the second book. I'll see how it goes with the second one and decide if I will venture on to the third book.

I did not know it was a trilogy either until I started it and someone told me about it! The Wennerstrom affair was not of great interest for me, instead the story captivated my attention because of Harriet's case before she was found. I dont know what to expect from the other books..I am still curious about Lisbeth, she would be my only reason.

I liked the first one enough to read the second one. I have the second and third books and I read the second one too. I didn't like it as much as the first. It was good for awhile but I was really disappointed with the last third of the book. So, now I am having a hard time getting motivated to read the third book. Also, I've heard the third book is the least interesting, so...

I found this to be an instance where a trilogy proved to be consistent in content, pace and interest. I would almost view the three books almost as three parts of the same story, rather than separate books.

Larsson carries over, expands and explains some of the key plot elements from the first novel, so if you don't read the second and third novels you will never have the chance to grasp the significance of some of the things that happen in the first.

I strongly recommend the concluding volumes.

Yes. I have started the second one but with my hectic life may take awhile to get through it. I plan on reading the third one, too. Just have to read something in between to kinda clear my head. So far the second one is as excellent as the first.

I've read all three and highly recommend the trilogy. The first book took me a while to get through with the early dialogues between Blomkvist and Mr. Vanger as the search for Harriet gets underway, but the plot definitely thickens!
