Christy I was wandering if anyone was planning on reading the other 2 books? Or of you already did? I didn't realize it was a trilogy when I read this book and now I am really thinking of reading the other 2!

Valerie No and no, but go for it if you enjoyed the book.

Bianca I actually enjoyed the first novel and decided to start the second one. Unfortunately, I got buried under school work and I had to stop somewhere at the middle. But from what I've read, it seemed truly interesting and as well-written as "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". So, if you enjoyed the first one, I recommend advancing through the trilogy. :)

Michelle Reid I read all three and I started before they were popular. I read the first two and then when I saw the third one when it was just released, I was so enthused that I had to get it immediately. You should definitely get the other two because I think they were even more better that the first. You get to learn more about Lisbeth Salander and her history and even more action than the first. I highly recommend them. Couldn't put them down!

Christy Oh good! I think I will get the other two!

Sarah I would love to read the next 2 books in the series. Does anyone know what order they go in?

Christy I think it's the Girl Who Played With Fire and then the other one.

Uzma I plan to. Already bought both the books too!

Thanks Christy!

S.E. Nelson I read them already, and i love them. When I finished the first one, I rushed to the bookstore to get the other two. I must say that i enjoyed the first two more than the third.

Jessica Bleh. I don't get why everyone loves this book/series/movie. Why you would want to read more of the series is beyond me. Btw the 3rd one is The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest.

Erin WV I read the first book and said, "Well, I'm done." Then I saw the movie this weekend and got curious, so I went online and read plot spoilers for the next two. They seem to deal primarily with the Lisbeth mythology without having any procedural crime-solving, and the only thing I really liked about Dragon Tattoo was the Vanger mystery. So, I definitely won't read them.

Dee there is crime solving in the second one and the third which is all tied in the lisbeth storyline...(view spoiler)

Kim Barberi Read the first one and it took me a while to get into it, but eventually I did and thought it was okay. I have book #2 on my to read list. I also saw the movie and now I am curious about the second book. I'll see how it goes with the second one and decide if I will venture on to the third book.

Filipa Encarnação i've just finished the second one! if you really enjoyed the first one i think you should give it a go for the other 2... i'm also anxious to watch the movies, but i want to read the trilogy first

Letizia I did not know it was a trilogy either until I started it and someone told me about it! The Wennerstrom affair was not of great interest for me, instead the story captivated my attention because of Harriet's case before she was found. I dont know what to expect from the other books..I am still curious about Lisbeth, she would be my only reason.

Letizia Erin wrote: "I read the first book and said, "Well, I'm done." Then I saw the movie this weekend and got curious, so I went online and read plot spoilers for the next two. They seem to deal primarily with the L..."
I also was interested with the Harriet's Case it was really good!

Michael After reading this, NOOOOOOO! it was pretty terrible.

Riley Cook I liked the first one enough to read the second one. I have the second and third books and I read the second one too. I didn't like it as much as the first. It was good for awhile but I was really disappointed with the last third of the book. So, now I am having a hard time getting motivated to read the third book. Also, I've heard the third book is the least interesting, so...

Chris Ziesler I found this to be an instance where a trilogy proved to be consistent in content, pace and interest. I would almost view the three books almost as three parts of the same story, rather than separate books.

Larsson carries over, expands and explains some of the key plot elements from the first novel, so if you don't read the second and third novels you will never have the chance to grasp the significance of some of the things that happen in the first.

I strongly recommend the concluding volumes.

Artemis This trilogy is filled with mythic dimensions, with the structural pattern and archetypal characters of myths, collectively known as the Heros Journey. And like any good story, the hero grows and changes, making a journey from one way of being to the next: from despair to hope, folly to wisdom love to hate and back again. It's this emotional journey, that Lisbeth, outlaw, shapeshifter, complex superhero, feminist fantasy heroine, vulnerable yet ruthless, volatile and fascinating, that makes all three books worth reading.

Deb No, No, No. A thousand times No!

Jill I've read the second one also. I loved both of them. I haven't read the third yet, but definitely will.

Cause the first tone was terrible enough.

Jessica I have started the second one but have lost a interest so have moved on to other books for awhile. I'll get the itch again to read a mystery and I'll pick it back up.

Jean I did read the next two and thought they were very good. Christy wrote: "I was wandering if anyone was planning on reading the other 2 books? Or of you already did? I didn't realize it was a trilogy when I read this book and now I am really thinking of reading the other 2!"

Renelle Yes. I have started the second one but with my hectic life may take awhile to get through it. I plan on reading the third one, too. Just have to read something in between to kinda clear my head. So far the second one is as excellent as the first.

Sharon L. Sherman I've read all three and highly recommend the trilogy. The first book took me a while to get through with the early dialogues between Blomkvist and Mr. Vanger as the search for Harriet gets underway, but the plot definitely thickens!

Monica I have read all three. And enjoyed the first two books didn't care for the third.

message 31: by Savita (new) - added it

Savita Kalhan I've read all three. The first one was quite good, very readable but took a while to get into, but the second and third are far, far better. When I got to the end, I really wished there were another three to read, but sadly, not...

aPriL does feral sometimes I read all three. I think the first is the best, and each succeeding book was a bit less good. That said, I loved, LOVED this trilogy! I read each one straight through because the series was so exciting to me.

message 33: by Judy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Judy Schmitz I read all three. Great books. I read them one right after the other to keep the story going. Now I have to see the movie someday!

Sharon I read all three. I loved the first so much, I just had to read the second. And after that, it just made sense to finish the trilogy. I'm glad I did. I've also seen both versions of the movie "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," and liked both of them.

Andrew Duff It's definitely worth reading all three. The second one is a bit of a marathon, but as a trilogy they hang together very well.

Muriel These were the first books I purchased for my Kindle over 12 months ago, and I enjoyed them all.Waiting now to see the film of the first book.

Marjana I've read the first and second...I'm planning to read it in nearest future..
