Your last sentence just made me tear up :)I clicked on your profile picture, your kids are ADORABLE!

I'm the oldest of five kids. I love that you love being a dad! Whatever comes the way of you and your wife, I'm sure will be exactly what you were meant to have and will be loved by everyone.

Thank you everyone! Allie- It's true, I never knew what I wanted to do as a profesion when I grew up I just knew I wanted to be a good father. BTW, updated my profile pic with the newest pic of the boys frpom last weekend.
Gretchen- 5?! Now that might be a little bit of a stretch. I do not need to end up like the Duggar family!
Terri- I think girls are pretty special as well. I should know, I married one. Besides every guys needs a daddy's princess right?
I love seeing the examples being learned by my little guys already. Last night my 2 year old was very good so I decided to let him take a toy to bed. I said OK Liam go pick out one car for night night and He said "No, daddy, book" then he went and picked up his favorite truck book and took it to bed with him.
Jesse - The new pic is too cute! Aww! I know, I love it when my nephew picks up his books and wants to cuddle with me. That's so sweet. Hopefully, his love of reading now carries into the future!
Terri - Not me! I'd like more men in the world. Preferably in my age group, single and willing to spend money on me hahaha!! :D

I see your point.
Don't they say there are more women than men? That's why it is tougher out there for women to find a good love match?
But then women are better leaders. We need more women leaders. :D (hehe...oh look at me being all controversial)
That sounds like a typical femaleish statement. I have been out in the world patiently waiting for one of the many women to recognize a value when they see one and snatch me up. Women can screw up the world just as fast as men; I'm no sexist!

Why controversial? You just imagined a perfect world with women leaders and many, many, handsome minions. That's not controversial.. ;)

A conservation over heard on the bus home tonight.1st person, "really enjoyed the visit to the castle today"
2nd person,"oh yes its was lovely, mind my legs are exhausted with the walking"
1st person, "yeah my are the same, shame they didnt build the castle closer to the bus station"
Cue giggles when they realised what they said.
;D
Mark, haha!!Similar to our conversation after climbing up a frickin' tower of doom (about 80 meters of stairs, first part curved around the tower, narrow, and so medieval and the second more modern but around gigantic bells that your ears do not want to get caught by during certain times of the day).
My gf: "Omfh, they could have built an elevator here."
Me: "No elevators in the 1300s, sorry hon."
My gf: "Right." *breathless half-laugh*
We were only about half-way up at that point.

Is the world cup over yet? Since I don't have a cable television subscription, I do a lot of current event podcasts. Half of the podcasts I subscribe to are on break until the world cup is over and the other half only talk about the world cup. It's not that I don't like soccer, it's just that I don't get it. I like football and hockey. Summer is a bad time, sportswise, for me. The USA must still be in the swing of things since I haven't heard about a mutiny against a their coach. He kind of sounds like a ding dong.

Dawn wrote: "Sports?? Who wants to watch sports?? Much better things to do!!"We've got zuzel (speedway motor racing) in Poland but I've only ever been interested in the Polish leagues because my family got me into it when I was a kid so I barely ever get to see the races since I don't make it back to Poland often. Great summer sport though.
That's Gdansk in the lead with one of our juniors. We won (barely) that game.
Klinsmann is no ding dong. I like him and think he is doing a superb job leading a team to much better form than usual. The World Cup shuts a lot down, Brazil had a national holiday on the first day so everyone could watch the home opener. The US will move on to the knock-out rounds.
Dawn wrote: "Awww, makes you wanna adopt some more cute kids hey? :)"Uhhhh......NO. Look but don't bring home!
I'm with you Gretchen. Big Hockey fan here but not so much with the soccer/European football. Most of my info on the World Cup comes from Google Doodles, Facebook and here. US is still in it but they have to beat Germany to advance and no one is quite sure if that will happen. I think most US fans are cautiously optimistic.
Margaret, They can really do that! Amazing gadgets.I' was within 100 pages of finishing THE GOLDFINCH, ecopy. Thunderstorm last night got my 100 pages. The e-things can drive a person crazy--not you--me. Have a good day! lol

Lose to Germany but Ghana loses and Portugal scores less than 5 goals.
The odds are in our favor to make the Knock out stage.
Is zuzel comparable to dirt bike or bmx racing? One of my friends does competitive dirt bike racing with her six younger brothers and sisters.
Thom wrote: "I can't either Allie, NFL season and the World Series!"I'm with you a little on the NFL, not so much the World Series. Ok, not at all :P
Gretchen wrote: "Is zuzel comparable to dirt bike or bmx racing? One of my friends does competitive dirt bike racing with her six younger brothers and sisters."Its motorcycle racing. The basic rules are you've got 15 rounds, 4 laps per round. The last two rounds consist of the best racers. Two of each team race in a round, first place gets 3 points, second place gets 2 points, third place gets 1 point and 4th gets 0 points. It requires strength, skill, and knowing your bike. And its so much fun to watch!
Here is an example (skip about a minute in to see the race): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKYlx...
happy wrote: "I forgive you :)"Hey! It's not easy being a Cowboy fan... Between Jones and Romo i'm surprised how many of us are left.
Thom wrote: "As an ex-Texan I'm a die hard Cowboys fan."I'm sure the cheerleaders have nothing to do with it :P
Growing up I was a Broncos fan. John Elway was the man! Being from Detroit, there wasn't much hope for my hometown :(
Ooooh. I've got a statistic on my profile. I am, apparently, the # 131 reviewer in Australia this week. :D

I really developed a vocabulary of expletives after I was given an iPod and had my first introduction to iTunes. :p
I didn't have problems with iPods until I washed mine and had to buy a new one. It took me a week and lots of naughty words to get the new one set up with everything from the old one.
Okay. The 10 must read list thread is open.https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
When I was compiling it all I had it closed. So if anybody wanted to comment they couldn't. Now I have it open. :)

Gretchen- I'd be fine with twins, more the merrier right? I grew up with 2 brothers and wouldn't mind having 4 kids. I love being a father more than anything else in the world.
