I have a question. Let me first say I do not mean to offend or insult anybody. I have been wondering about this and wanted somewhere to post this. This is as good a place as any. I have been looking at the other discussions and there is the one for reading 12 books in 2012. I see goals for 25, 50 and more books to be read in a year. Would someone please tell me how this is possible? Are some of these audio books? I could be doing something else while listening. I can see that. Tell me about ur life and when do u do your reading? How much and how often do u read in a day? Tell me abt the books u read - small paperbacks ( 200 pgs) or novels ( 300 + pgs). Thank ya"ll so much.
I set myself 60 books this year. I read whenever I get the chance, at school, home, car rides, bus rides, whenever. Often, I read about 100 pages per day, if the writing is a good size. Otherwise, I read less. Although, many say I'm a fast reader. Most of my books are 300+ pages. I'm reading Jane Eyre now, but since the typing is small, I'm doing about 20 pages a day while I read my other book, Hunger, which I read about 100 pages of each day, because it's really exciting. I like to read something in a series, and something long, because I read fastly :) Hope this helps you :)

Thank you Cat/Luna. I was worried no one would respond. I have set my goal at 12 books for 2012 I am in the middle of my first one now. 12 may seem low but that gives me a good month per book. Now smaller romance paperbacks I can read one or two a week. Depends on the book. Let me also add I am married, 2 kids, a house to keep and a full-time job. I read during downtime at work, at home when I can, Kids car line, waiting rooms, while waiting for my daughter at ballet class. Whenever, wherever. By the end of the year it may be more. : = )
That's really great! Sorry, I'm only 13, so I suppose I get more time to read :). 12 is a good idea, a month per book! I'm sure you'll read a whole lot more this year! :)
@Normie: I set my goal for 50, but I also get alot more time to read. I'm 15, so a good portion of the books I read are for school, plus I'm a fast reader and I juggle 4 or 5 books at a time. but considering your life, 12 sounds like a good goal, I'm pretty sure you'll make it depending on how fast you read.But if you finish earlier and want to challenge yourself more you can always go back and change it :)
I'm only 13, but I set mine for 50 books, which is very possible for me. My books are about 400-500 pages each, so they're not abnormally long, but if it's a really good book, i can finish one in a day. Plus, sometimes I add manga that I read which only takes about 1 and a half to 2 hours to read, but 12 books is perfectly fine if you're a slower reader (no offense, I'm just saying, if you're not overly obsessed like me).
....I feel weird. My goal is 236.... But I read a lot-like a book per day....novellas too. Like I'm reading pride and prejudice now yet it's not that long

Oh I'm obsessed with books and reading. I wouldn't say I read fast or slow I just have to work it in - I have a husband, 2 kids, a home and a job. I realize most of ya'll are much younger than me and are in school and may have more time.

I play "kiddie games" with the exception of some zelda games, The Mother/Earthbound series, and MSG.
I've played Zelda...IT WAS SO DANG HARD! I CAN'T EVEN GET PAST THE FIRST THINGY!!

God, that thing is HARD.
But I love it because:
A. It's seriously screwed up
B. It's grimdark and disturbing as an E-Rated game can be
C. I enjoy the characters a lot
D. It's a very good and challenging game
E. BEN DROWNED. 'Nuff said.
F. The Fairy isn't so annoying.
G. The final boss is so disturbing, I can NEVER look at masks in general again.
H. Tingle. I hate him because he's creepy as heck, but I hate him with a passion. I like Hating him.
I. Ghosts, happy mask salesmen, moon children, masks, more masks, dogs, Clocks, and items of mass destruction.
