This book is not only boring but it drags on and on and on and on. I was remotely interested in the beginning but now I just want the damn thing to end. If it wasn't in the book club, I would have stopped reading this. If it hadn't won a prize, I also would have stopped reading it. I can't stand Newland Archer's thoughts and feelings; they make me so angry and I want to punch him in the face. His wife, May, is an idiot and the women he truly loves, Ellen, is a bigger idiot for liking him. She can do better; in fact, this whole book could have done much better.

I'm haven't even finished it yet.

I agree. I am almost finishing it, but it has been a forceful read. I don't see the point to it. One thing that annoys me is how the author describes details that add nothing to the story whatsoever.

Glad I am finally done and we can close this out. However, I must say as I already wrote in my review, the book towards the end got a lot more interesting and it was a good finish.
