No. He was a dear friend and a mentor. He reminds of the character Marco from a tv show that used to air on the CW called "Privileged". He was a personal chef but he was also everyone's confidant. He always listened to everyone's problems, was very wise and always had good advice. I think the guy who played him (Allan Louis) would have made a perfect Cinna.

I think that I kindof think of all of the Capitol people as a bit androgenous....Cinna could be homosexual, or heterosexual, or asexual.....who knows...actually, it took me a while to figure out that he was male. Whatever his preferences, he was a good friend to Katniss & showed how much he cared for her in his words & actions.

I interpreted Cinna to be gay, so that's a definite no-go. She should have ended up with Gale though. I was really disappointed in the ending of the series. I wish there was more time spent on tying all the loose ends together. Instead I felt like it was 'I have to meet a deadline so here ya go!' ending.

I saw Cinna as being quite a bit older than Katniss. Not OLD, but maybe around 30. I think if you look at how Katniss acted with Finnick, she treated him basically the way she would treat someone her own age even though he's quite a few years older than her. But she seemed to react to Cinna more the way she'd react to an "adult" so at the very least, I saw him as a few years older than Finnick who I believe is 24 in the books.

Hmmm...I get le gay vibe from Cinna too, and while the age difference is probably nowhere near big enough to be a real problem, I just don't think it would've necessarily seemed appropriate for a YA novel. I could pretty much tell from the get-go that Collins was setting Katniss up to marry either Peeta or Gale, and leaning toward Peeta. ;p Her bond with Cinna is strong--deep mutual respect, trust, and friendship...but I never expected her to become romantically interested in him, or vice versa. It's kind of a nice thought, though, and wouldn't have been utterly impossible. We don't know for certain which way he swings, anyhows. ;) It's, uuuuhhhhh, potential fanfiction fodder. It would've been a tragically short-lived and cruelly-ended relationship, of course. ;;

I wouldn't really use the word boyfriend but yes! Through film, katniss and cinna had AMAZING chemistry! Their moments, the few that they are, were perfect! In the end I agree with most others that he was gay though...

I actually thought they would be a cute ship, hear me out..... so when i was reading the book i noticed a few moments when cinna was staring at katniss or talking about her dreamily and even she admitted that he was younger than the usual stylists and was quite attractive. I did some research and cinnas probably in his early 20s which is like an 8 to 10 year age gap which is massive but if you like ships with age gaps then this ship is for you. I personally thought this would be a good ship but i can see where the like brotherly love is coming from. But yeah, if this was a more popular ship i would totally be invested.

I also thought that he could of been dating portia but i wasnt sure if they were just work partners or if they were like lovers.

I definitely don't think they should have been involved romantically. Their relationship was all friends. They trusted each other, but that doesn't mean they had romantic feelings for each other. Plus, Cinna's too old for Katniss. I mean, not super old, just too old for her.

Hmm, not sure if they would have made a good couple, but I did love Cinna's character, I was sad when he died. I would have liked to have had more of him in the story though.

No, Cinna was older and though very smart from the "city" he may have developed a love and friendship with Katniss but she was more, what made his art work he never truly knew her even if he was consoling to her. I didnt totally see any gay link with him though, unless you connect designer with gay automatically but maybe I missed something. I really did like him as a character though.

Cinna was more like a father figure. I feel like if he could have, he would've adopted Katniss and Prim and taken them from District 12 when they were kids if he knew they existed. He seemed to be the only person who didn't have anything to really gain from helping her aside from making her look pretty. So he was risking a lot by being her confidant and I feel like he took up the role her father left.
