Just a question, does anybody like X-Men?

The reason I say this is because we have a very small roleplay group that once had many people but most of them quit do to inactivity. I wanted very much to revive it from the dead but alas, not many people seem to know about--as in having watched or read--X-Men. That makes this recruiting a wee bit harder than let's say, for Harry Potter.
So far, we're only three but the more, the merrier, etc.

Really don't know. They were all highschoolers though, except for wolverine. He was normal...mostly. I watched it on Netflix over the summer, I barely remeber details.
Evolution, yes! I love that one, I don't know why (since they messed up most of my favorite characters) it's still my favorite for Peotr and Remy, if you remember them.
Sorta. Not really. I ended when school started just after-oh, what's her name? Mystique, I think? Died 'cause Rouge wouldn't save her.
That sounds exactly right. ^-^Peotr (Colossus) is the nice metal skinned man who pretty much serves as a slave to Magneto. In this series he still had a thick accent but he spoke allot less and thus kept a low profile, something I think he'd be proud of having done.
Remy (also known as Gambit) is the card throwing frenchy who constantly flirts with Rogue. I was happy about his appearance because they didn't make his accent so thick and they didn't make him speak in third person like in the eighties. He was just a smooth criminal.
ah, you're a criminal person then? My best friend is the same-always prefers the bad guys. I've always liked Rouge, personally.
Bad guys? I tend not to think of them that way. Remy... okay, his hobbies aren't very fruitful but Peotr is about as sweet as anyone could get. He was only working for Magneto because his little eight year old sister's life was being threatened if he didn't. In the comics, he's one of Kitty's love interests. The guy respects Kitty and paints in his free time. ^-^ He's a total sweety, he's just a rough figure. As for Gambit, Rogue will keep him in line.
totally. :)People are always telling me if I like all this stuff (superheroes and such) I should really start reading the actual comic books, but I've never been able to figure out where I can lay my hands on some decent ones.
Comics are difficult for me because the minute you start liking one look at a character, another artist has another view, another person they want that person to be with. Some good ones.... I liked the first three of Astonishing X-Men, Vol. 1: Gifted
But they were pretty dark when you considered yourself a master of the kid's shows. *anime sweatdrop*
The first book is actually video if you want to read it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O490WD...
Also, another downer about comic books is that most are made for guys so you've got characters like Emma Frost who just need to own a tee shirt and pants. Seriously, it's insulting.
tell me about it. I suppose that they thought girls just wouldn't be into that stuff. Shame they didn't realize that a girl can be cool like that too :(I need to make a comic book that has a girl superhero, might work out a little bit better then.
Catwoman has her comic books. I'm sure Rogue has her own series... It's really only something I've discovered recently.
My friends are fanatics when it comes to the shows. WE picked it all up last year. We like Avengers, Iron Man: Armored Adventures and I watch the X-Men: Evolution series whenever I have the time. It's an interesting new thing, isn't it? What I love is when I figure I'm not the only one who's eccentric enough to watch this stuff. I actually have a story in progress, but my drawing skills are really poor. If I had to read something already done, I think I would go for Ironman or Black Widow. Black widow is pretty awesome
Black Widow, of course! *bonks self on head* I love these things too and anime and a bunch but my older cousin is mostly to blame for this. She loves all these superheroes and her obsession is contagious.
Superheroes have always intrigued me. How do they live and see themselves? Most have a grief that can't be spoken or a force that pushes them through life at full thrust. What I would do to have that sort of motivation...
My drawing skills aren't poor but I never have a story to write. ^^'
Awesomeness. It's seems that way doesn't it? It's like if they're all damaged and out of that drives them to right the wrongs I the world.

It's a refreshing change but it makes me wonder about all those who tried to live hiding their power for their whole lives and never using it for anything.
Here's a page to a comic I had to quickly draw for Art class. It's pretty pathetic given the amount of time I had but working under stress is hard. ^^'

Yeah, of course. ^^ Um, it doesn't explain X-Men though or Watchmen but DC is usually good at finding the best in their audiences and making it into a character.
For Watchmen, there's one character named 'Rorschach' and he based off what a real person would be like if they had Batman's traits. A.k.a; Bat shit insane. *facepalm* He's not someone I'd like to meet in the street although he is quite a gumshoe.

Never seen it before, no. *shakes head*
It looks like a frankly scary movie to me. So a woman spends her time with a married man, having an affair and than going all slayer on his life?
That was an amazing scene but what a misguided woman! What lead her to such disgusting acts? (Not the gun girl, of course).
That actually sort of makes loads of sense. I was just afraid for the children, it really showed there. How dare she--I have a feeling this movie doesn't play on TV much but can you find it at your local video store?
He wasn't very bright for that, was he? So far it sounds like an amazing movie. Thank you for sharing it because I would never have come across it otherwise. My favourite movies are things like 'The Series of Unfortunate Events' and such, I don't run into many new things so it's been a pleasure.
I've had enough of men cheating on their wives in fiction. Have you read the book Russka by Edward Rutherford?
It is, it's amazing but has many dark components and you don't need to know Russian history to read it (although you'd enjoy it maybe more if you did). It's various stories based on two bloodlines that begin at the Rus and end in modern day (fictional, of course). I've just finished the part with Ivan the Terrible and by the gods, I never want to live in that time. The Oprichina, the drinking, the lack of humanity, it's wrong but it led to a society of modern day and for that it is worth reading. The stories are cute and well written but the Ivan chapter was particularly eeeesh... Let's say it was the husband this time, not the one night stand girlfriend that makes it into a nightmare. Despite any presumptions that may come with what I just said, it's still very good but the whole psychology class would profit from that chapter.
Of course it is Kyle XD Thanks! What I find the most odd about it is after I'm done the exam, and go home it's only about 11am... Then I sit there for a few hours wasting my time on the internet thinking "what do I do now O.O"
What do I do when I study for exams? Read fanfiction. What do I do after exams? Read fanfiction.
It's kinda sad.

XD That is my problem as well (with Youtube and cartoons squished in there somewhere...)

I'm eating candy :D
Now, if I make it through the last exam tomorror I have survived!
